Default A/S tires for 18" wheels?

Is anyone getting all-season tires for the 18" wheels? Obviously, everyone knows that no one makes both 225/45/18s and 245/45/18s in all-seasons. What do you guys think would be a good compromise (specific tire make and sizes)? I'm worried about ratios, speedo/odometer error, traction control, LSD, etc. How about 245/40/18s all-around? Thanks for any help.

I'm planning Michelin Pilot Sport A/S with Volks Racing gunmetal LE37T, 245x40x18 and 275x40x18 on 8.5" and 9.5" F/R respectively. It's a compromise, I realize, but should look and work well for touring. I haven't yet found a local dealer for the Volks, but the Michelins are easy enough.
