Nay, it's over 100 every day here now - mine works beautifully (as it always has). It is a 2004 purchased in February.

The TSB is basically to replace the two back bump stops on the hatch. It works great, and only takes about 5 minutes to do once they get the parts in. I started a thread about my experience with this fix here (pic of what gets replaced included):

Default my 4 cents worth

Trying removing your springs, and inserting 2 pennies inside the rubber covering and then reassmble.

I removed my ballist and oem spoiler and put a nismo replica wing, and immediately had the problem, due to the excess weight.

I saw a thread recently showing the DIY for 2 pennies inside the rubber covering. The pennies give a little extra platform for the spring and really works. Best 4 cents I spent on my car ever.

Give it a try.

The better fix is the new bumpers, not the struts. Have them try that (or the penny method listed above).

I have a brand new 2004 Roadster, and am having trouble with the trunk opening on it. I hate getting the dealer to even lok at it due to it always seems when you get a car worked on they screw it up more, but has anyone had problems with the 2004 roadsters trunk not opening? Thanks...
