Default ECU Style learning

Hey all,
Recent posts about performance "feel" have me wondering about the ECU and its' ability to adjust engine variables to a persons "typical" driving style. Does anyone have more information on this? For example, I'm wondering if I drive mellow for a couple of days, is my car going to behave poorly when I suddenly decide to get right-foot-heavy? If so, other than driving the hell out of the car everyday, is there a way to get the ECU back to a "performance" state?

What is the "state" of the ECU after a reset?

Also, I just the GReddy EVO2 exhaust and RT HF cats on my car. Should the ECU need a reset to account for the reduced back-pressure?

Thanks for any replies...

Oh yeah, as for the reset, it never hurts to perform a reset after a mod is added.
