Ok, I've called my dealer like 10 times asking for a VIN and still nothing. I ordered on 03-31-02 my tracking/order # is T308934. From what I've seen, there are quite a few people with T order numbers who already have their VIN.

My questions are...

Is there anyone with a T order number who doesn't have a VIN yet?

Should my dealer be able to give me a VIN?

Can I call Nissan (1-800-Nissan1) and get a VIN?

Any help you guys could provide would be great!

I'm T 308xxx, and was told I ought to ba getting VIN within 1 week or so.

 

i have tracking no. T3075xx (ordered 2/21) and no vin yet. a serious bummer yes, but cause for alarm? i think (and hope) not.

my alleged delivery date has moved from aug to sep, sep to oct, and now into nov. hopefully, my car and yours will show up a couple weeks early like many on this board have but the only advice i can give is the same i keep giving myself, patience.

I am a W and got my VIN today... I am so excited.....I know that some cars got diverted to a different buid date so that may have been your car in that group.... I am sure your VIN will come soon

 

i have a Track on order since march 2k2, and no VIN yet.

ETA from dealer is NOV.

It's good to hear that some people are in the same boat. I feel like I should have a VIN, it would at least give me the comfort that the car is on the ship.

 

Completed contract with dealer Jan 15. Who knows when the order was placed. Order # T307XXX; no VIN; projected Nov delivery.

 

I'm a 'T' also- ordered 3/21/02...no VIN and started to worry so I called the 800 #...they didn't have a VIN either- just said November...my dealer has been saying October 30th +-10 days for a few months now, so who knows.

 

I'm going to bump this thread.

I get anxious each day I don't have a VIN and people who ordered after me are getting theirs. Anyone else have this problem?

Mack, my dealership had to call NNA to get my VIN. They kept telling me the car would be delivered in November, yet I didn't have a VIN. You may want to get them to do the research. The next east coast vessel comes into Jacksonville around October 16, then on to Charleston and Norfolk. Your Z may be on board! I'm hoping mine is on board.

 

I have a T, no Z, no VIN.

I have a t308XXX order # and have my vin#. I order Jan 24 and my car is scheduled to arrive this Tuesday Oct 8. I think I've waited long enough since I was the 6th order my dealership received. It sucks when you hear of people ordering later than you yet getting their car before you. I should have been one of the first in my area. They stole my thunder. haha. Oh well, better late than never.

Anyway, Friday I called the NNA # again for the hell of it. The opened up a 'log' and said they would call me in about an hour. They called back and said I do have a VIN...and to have the dealer check with the inventory guy- and if he can't find it, the NNA lady gave me her ext. to give him and she would tell him so he could give it to me. (NNA can't tell you your VIN, but they can tell you whether you have one or not). I told them my salesman was sick...so I would avoid the "you need to call your dealer" response.

I ordered 3/21...had a 'T' number & now have VIN with est. del date of 11/5/02.
