Default 350z Exhaust Sound?

How do you think it sounds very deep and loud or light and loud ? or opposite low. Never heard a 350z exhaust in person. Only one video and cant really tell on the video thanks if you post.

Quiet at idle. So quiet, I don't even think the engine's running. At throttle, it sounds somewhere in between Porsche & Ferrari w/ more emphasis on Porsche. With the windows up, you barely hear it. At highway speeds, tire and road noise overcomes engine and exhaust sound.

My $0.02.

Michael.

I got the AT and in one test I read, the tester said it seemed the AT had a lower growling sound than the MT. That fits with what I hear, especially at slower speeds in town. I have never driven an MT so I can't compare the two.

Default rumble

at low rpm the Z rumbles - from about 1500 through 2500 rpm.

All the times I've heard it, it sounded...well...muffled. For a muffler, it muffles well I'd like a deeper growl myself.

Default very nice... but

like others here... I was expecting a deeper, growlier sound.

Want to hear what the NISMO has to offer both in sound and most importantly, performance. There will be lots of options if you do not like the stock.

I really like the sound. I think Michael-Dalls's post sums it up very well. I did take a friend for a ride and he said it was one of the few V6's that he liked. He commented on the exhaust note as soon as I started the engine (he has a souped up 500 Hp Camaro and is partial to V8's).

The more I hear it, the more I like it. It's a bit louder with the K&N, and the note seems smoother than it was 700 mi. ago. Very Italian, in a good way, but also quiet when cruising. Like most Z qualities, it's an accomplished balance.

Didn't there used to be a clip of the Z starting up on the Fairlady's Japan-side website?

Oh, it's http://jp.z.com and it's under 'gallery' under 'flash simulation'.

I think Nissan did a great job with the sound of the Z, it's got a much deeper growl than the Boxster S, and when you hit 3500+ RMPs it really starts to get noticed. I guess since I have the Mustang Cobra for when I want to annoy the neighbors, I think the Z is a great mix, it's gonna get noticed, but it's not going to **** off your neighbors when you rumble late late at night. I'll probably try out the Nismo, since my neighbors are used to the stang

I have a 41 second clip from the Zfest in Fremont of a Nissan employee reving the crap out of a Z. I can e-mail to anyone but I don't know how to load it on this site.

Any help?

After about a week, I let a friend drive my car to his work (he was having the interior tested and evaluated for a new speaker system design and proposal) and I listened as he went around the block to the "main" street. I loved it when I could hear the car "take off" from about a block away (and no, he wasn't abusing it).

I just got my Z today!!
I too was actually hoping for a little louder sound. I think it is too quite. Good for old people or those with super good hearing.
