guys, i just picked up an 03 track model with 8500 miles. i've been noticing that it idles kind of rough every once in a while. it usually happens when it's been warmed up and been driven for a little while. after sitting and idling for almost a minute the idle drops a little and seems to studder and vibrate. sometimes it "burps" or makes popping noises, maybe a clunking noise too. once it starts it usually doesn't go away until i drive for a little bit ... does this happen to anyone else?

also, i'm hearing a noise (sounds like a noisy bearing) when at idle with the clutch out. when i depress the clutch it goes away ... normal? i just noticed it b/c i was parked between 2 cars so sound was echoing off them.

 

Do you have an aftermarket intake? I used to have that problem w/ my old car. The K&N filters don't seem to clean the air enough.

thanks for your help guys, my car is stock ... i did a search and found some info about it. haha guess i should've done that first. i guess it's a common problem. the cures i found were a grounding kit (doesn't always fix the rough idle) and another guy said a new MAF meter fixed it.
