Default Crash! Expensive parking-brake lesson...

Here's my neighbor's month-old roadster, which rolled backward out of his garage, across our residential street and into our neighbor's mailbox. Poor guy wasn't home when it happened, but it looks like he left it in neutral with no parking brake engaged. Yikes. It could have been *lots* worse.

Thats a stupid thing to forget. At least there shouldn't be any visible damages except maybe a little scratch. Hes lucky the curb isnt really high.

Our parking brake seems to suck, too.. I don't trust it and always leave it in gear....

Wonder how much that cost him to fix.

There is an adjustment screw that you crank to tighten or loosen the cable. It should be somewhere between the rear wheels (im not really exactly sure where it is since I have never worked on a 350Z back there before).

We should take his keys away and replace them with keys to a Toyota Echo. On a serious note he's lucky that's where the car stopped.

Boy! Are we not being just a little too judgmental?
Or have you never made a "dumb" mistake?
