Default wondering about the color of the KEY!!!

I was wondering what the color of the key was. In my knowledge it was black, but this kid at my school has a burgandy//reddish color key and claims that the car is his. Isnt that the spare or something?

probably his dads car

lol, yeah valet key. not that it really has a huge purpose other than not being able to open the glove box; I dont see why someone would use it.

now itd be cool if the valet key set the rev limiter 3000RPM.

Both of my Z's were 04's. I guess they changed that for 04.

That is a Brickyard owner using his valet key! :-P

Every new Z comes with two sets of keys and the valet key, which is a dark red in appearance and is normal in function with the exception of unlocking the glovebox.

Here's the courtesy parts valet key page, hope that clarifies...

That means the Nissan symbols on your keys are chrome-colored... my key grips are black all the way.

Thats funny, my old man has the burgandy color valet key and he drives a brickyard, I got a white Z and I got a black valet key.

Interesting!?! Also his Valet key came in a nice little clear box. Did any other brickyard owner get a "gift pack" with tons of goodies (watch, pen, books, ley fob, etc)? He also recieved that.

I didn't get any gifts, but my valet key is burgundy, regular is black. no chrome nissan symbols on them either. I suppose they could use any kind of key blank to stamp keys, maybe they just stopped making the burgundy one's for 04?

I think its convenient myself. Keeps the two unique.

The burgandy colored valet keys are for the 2003s.

For the 2004s they changed the valet key color to black.

I have a black key and a burgandy valet key.

My 300zx key was however the best one...titanium. I think they could have done a much better job with the 350Z keys.
