i don't think ANYONE has told me that I should have gotten a Z. But I did hear many times (in real life and on various boards) that the G35 is a nicer car. After having so many problems with my 350Z, i traded it in for a G35 and I couldn't be happier.

The "Z vs. G" topic comes up so often...maybe one of the mods can create a special forum for it.

If you guys think there are too many Z/G coupes, try buying a G sedan...

Actually in hindsight I think the G35c would've been the better car for me.

But I had the pre-order stuff rolling with my 350, so I basically just said "alright, this is the car for me..." Also what really set me on the 350z was that I could purchase the Enthusiast 6MT for $29, versus having to spend like 3 or 4k more to get the 6MT on the G35 (with leather & assorted stuff). I'm not interested in driving an AT yet. Plus the 350z came out like 2 months earlier than the G35's.

Before i bought my Z, i was deciding sti, evo, or s2000....(never thought about G35C
HONESTLY, i think G35C is everywhere...i see at least more than 10 Gs.....also parked Gs at least 5 a day.....

IMO, G is becoming like honda accord accord coupe!

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

The G35c is certainly good looking, though it sits higher than the Z and thus looks less sporty.

The Z looks much more toned for sporty high spirited driving in the twisties as well as on the straights.

Just today, I came across a nice G35c, custom painted blue (Bayside purple blue actually) with 18" Volks RAY TE37 wheels and lowered. Very nice (in my favourite colour and wheels).

G looks good riding along side you.

Z looks good driving past you.

They are both really great looking car. So many g35 owners told me that if they didnt need the 2 extra seats, they would be all over the z. Its just a matter of opinion, but either way you have an awsome car.

in the looks department, 350z rules, but this department is subjective. people either LOVE it or HATE it because its so unique.
The G35 is no Skyline, just the shell of a champion. And I do use my car to transport me, but most of the time its to the twisties for fun where I'll burn you while you ask your back seat passengers if theyre comfortable. I cant wait until a REAL skyline drops

I love the color Midnight Blue that theyve got available for the G though,

And all I see driving G35C are middle aged women, and old men and yes I see about 10-15 a day

Um. The G35 coupe happens to be a Skyline. It's not a GTR, but it's a Skyline buddy. In Japan, almost the exact same car is badged under Nissan Skyline 350GT badges. This is why we can order those badges..

Skyline...if you ask people what a skyline is...most people would probably tell you "the car in 2Fast 2Furious"....atleast thats what I think when I hear "skyline"..not a G35

Just because most people don't know what they are talking about doesn't make it true. Anyone who knows something about the Skyline knows the G35 IS the Skyline and the new Skyline GTR is dropping the Skyline name to just GTR.

first off anyone can order any badges that they want, actually on a video I own I saw a Mustang with GT-R badging who said he had a rotary, V6 engine under the hood. The G35 is the U.S. VERSION!!! of the Skyline but in no way is it like a REAL Skyline. And yes I know it is the V35 in Japan, but the G35 does not have AWD, nor the power associated with the name Skyline, therefore its not the same. Its not like they took the skyline from japan and made it available over here, they just used the body. Id compare it to the Mitsubishi Evolution, and the Lancer. Youve got a Lancer. Im not trying to insult you but thats the best way I can put it

Oh and just to clarify, I like the G35C but its not a Skyline

Tr0y. I saw that you're from Northern Virginia... so I forgive all your ignorance.

We are NOT talking about the GTR models of the SKYLINE coupe right now. There is NO GTR version of the bnv35 model SKYLINE right now. In Japan, the Infiniti G35 coupe is badged as the Nissan Skyline 350GT. Get this through to your head. It's almost the exact same car.

Stop thinking like a ricer. This is NOT Fast and Furious. We are NOT talking about the Skyline GTR R34.

So the g35 is names a skyline, so what? Its in no way as special as a real skyline (real meaning r33, r34....) Just because the nsx is badged as a honda in japan doesent mean its more reliable.

nice, but you more than prove that ignorance has no boundries or state lines, so I will forgive YOUR ignorance. I didnt say GT-R I merely used the badging as an example that you can get whatever badging you want, its not like they make you send a copy of your registration for badges from japan. And I like how you said its ALMOST the exact same car, just like the Lancer is ALMOST an Evo. The Evo was out overseas way before it hit the states and im sure those Lancer owners sounded just like you. "In Japan, the Mitsubishi Lancer is badged as the Evolution. Get this through your head. It's almost the exact same car.".... spewing ignorance. Just be happy that you have an Infiniti G35, cause it sure as hell isnt the V35!!!! SKYLINE. I really wish you would stop thinking like a ricer cause if one thing is rice its calling a US market car by its Japanese name especially when its not the same car. We ARE talking about the G35C which is NOT a V35 Skyline

Troy, you really don't get it.

In Japan, there is a car called the Skyline V35. They rebranded this car as an Infiniti and moved the steering from right-hand to left-hand to sell in the US market and called it the G35. This is NOT the same as a Lancer vs a Lancer Evolution.

In Japan, there is a Skyline and a Skyline GTR (although there isn't a V35 GTR yet). You obviously are only aware of the GTR version so when you see the word "Skyline", you automatically think GTR, when in fact, there's a seperate car called JUST "Skyline" and another Skyline GTR.

If you don't believe us, just visit this site http://www2.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/top.html

Finally, you would probably be surprised that in Japan, the 350Z is called the Fairlady-Z. Which is the same situation as G35 and Skyline.
