No rattles or squeaks here... i just get a faint hum accelerating over 60 mph in 6th gear... its not the engine either... very strange and its starting to **** me off.... its not wind otherwise i would still hear it after i let off the gas

no rattes or squeaks here either. only when the paasenger seat-belt isn't cliped. rides great..not like a lexus but what you would expect from any sports car. it's actually better than my daily driver

EXCEPT the couple times I was on a date and it started to squeek in the back. (those were the ONLY two times)
What the hell?? That was very embarassing and I didn't know what to do. Turn the radio up??

i got a few. the one coming from the strut 'turned' off on my z.....has yet to come back. still get a few and get slightly annoyed from time to time but other then that ill live.

Wish the dealer would've told me about that option. The dealer could've made a little more cash off me.

I also found I had another rattle/squeak coming from the rear after I fixed this one. Turns out the driver's side of the rear bumper was a little lose. I already knew this, as everytime I waxed the car it would squeak there. Others have had similar experiences with their rear bumpers. Sometimes it's also the rear splash guard (if you have one).

Dynomat is sound deadening padding. It works, but adds weight. If you compare the interior of a z32 to a z33, you will see a huge difference in padding etc... My family's '90, '91 etc z32 tt's have no rattles and they are heavily modified.

i've got a rattle and a buzz sound coming from the dash and a rattle in the back, hopefully the dealer can fix it on monday along with the tire feathering, cd player, cup holder, window streaks and passenger window problem, i love my car but damn i wish there were none of these issues, i have to turn the radio up just so i don't get annoyed from the sounds and since my cd player won't eject, it's channel surfing time.

You folks should consider dynamat to solve your sound problems.

Double, or even triple, layer the engine firewall, floors, doors, trunk. Your car will be sound proof. Double layer the floor and I guarantee you will not have any road noise.

Plus the stuff isn't heavy so it's not like your adding sheet metal or anything. It's inexpensive too. You could probably by enough dynamat to do your entire car for $500. Installation is another territory. Some shops will charge a ton, but some don't. It all depends on what they charged per square foot.

Rattles, maybe a little. What IS noticeable is the incessant buzz from the fuel pump though...

Do you have it clipped onto the little holder thing? That's what I do so it's one less noise to worry about. The tire roar is driving me insane, can't take it in to the shop for another two weeks so I'll have to suffer a while longer. Other than that, there aren't that many noises, just what I consider "normal" little noises once in a while, especially over train tracks, the whole orchestra comes out.

not that bad after you clip the pass seatbelt.

Also, the stock re040s are very loud.

after I got my michelin pilot sports (stock g35 tires) the ride noise essentially dissapeared.

This car definitely has a lot more squeeks and rattles compared to my old RSX. But I've been dealing with them one at a time, and I've slowly managed to get rid of most of them.

its nothing compared to the 90 mustang convertable I had.
Talk about road noise, creaks, etc.

Mine is great, not much at all except the roar from the exhaust. Its kind of load, in a good way though.

Who cares, I'm going to look into this dynamat stuff. Why does it cost so much to install? Has anyone done it themselves? Does anyone have writeup's?

You can install it yourself if you have the patience. I got mine from Ebay in a large roll, however I got a different brand (Brown bread)

Compare the thicknesses of the different brands. Thicker will provide more damping. I picked a 70sq ft roll for pretty cheap. I only did the trunk area in a single layer. I used up maybe 20 sq ft. Not that hard if you buy if it comes with the roller. Just watch out because it's very sticky and can stick to the paint. It will leave tar marks, but that can be taken off with tar remover.

I drive with the windows up and the stereo off 90% of the time.... and in my 04 base @2400 miles.... I have yet to notice any undesireable sounds.

BTW: People who constantly drive with their music blaring and their windows down... are seriously annoying.
