My stereo hasn't worked for a few days now and I haven't had a good chance to fix it, so I've been driving around with no stereo. I am shocked at how many rattles and creaks there are in the car, especially when going over harsh bumps. Try driving for a few minutes with the radio completely off and see if you have as bad of noises as I do...

Same here...not rattles or squeaks...very guite ride except for the beautiful sound of the engine and my exhaust.
Any and all sports cars with above average handling will ride rough. These shocks and vibrations will no doubt cause rattles, taps, and other various sounds. The car's interior pieces expand and contract with changes in temperature, so some parts will rub or come loose eventually.
My friend's E46 M3 and 996 porsche have various sounds in the cabin too.
You can track them down and fix them if they bother you that much -- or trade the Z for a luxury cushion-mobile like a lexus or cadillac.
