There is NO WAY this car will go only 5.8 sec. That's simply too slow for a car described as the "Fastest Z Ever." Sure, it comes under the original "0-60 in less than 6.0" but I don't think it correlates with the goal of being a Boxster beater or of being the best car in it's price category and the category above.
Nope, I have absolutely no information to support the above words. Other than dammit, I know I'm right.

Won't be cancelling my order..didn't buy it for 0-60 times..bought it for styling..price...quality of construction..anticipated performance in the twisties..and flat out cruising to Laughlin on I-40 (hope no CHiPs are reading)
I can understand the concern of those that put a lot of stock in the 0-60 times but hey folks, so far it's all speculation. July 3 is just over three weeks away and I still have faith in Nissan's commitment to the project.

I'm confident that Nissan would have wanted to beat the last Z's figures (i.e. Carl Ghosn's comment) and the Z TT was between 5.0 and 5.5 depending on who was testing it. So I also say, RELAX guys and keep the faith.
