Usually someone would steal the Z to take it for a joy ride, then leave it off somewhere.

As for Hondas and Toyotas, parts are easier to sell because they are in high demand... so those cars get stolen because of popularity.

I think Geico and progressive both told me that Lojack would knock 20% off of the comprehensive portion of my policy. For my policy the comprehensive is only 10% of the total price, and so it only works out to a 2% savings. I was thinking the comprehensive was the expensive one, but that is collision, I might actually notice the difference there.

Several years ago, A friend who lives in New York City had his Grand Cherokee stolen from his basement garage. He was away on business at the time. When he returned, he called LoJack to report the theft, Thet activared the transponder and found the car on a boat almost to central america. There was nothing that they could do. The car was still riding around with the transponder sending a signal from Cali, Columbia!! Needless to say he was pissed.. LoJack gave him his money back..

Another friend who had a 240Z set up for off road rallying put it on a boat (in Miami) in a container for a trip to Venuzela. The boat made no stops.. When the boat arrived.. The car and container were missing.. Car was never found.. We all thought maybe it fell overboard but he thinks they met with another boat at sea and off loaded the car, then dumped the container.. This was back in 1976.. Car was never seen again..

I'm in the alarm business here for the past 25 years.. All I can say is if someone wants your car, they are going to get it alarm or no alarm...

Lojack does absolutely nothing to protect your car from theft. It will only ASSIST the police with RECOVERY.

My quick .02 cents.

Friend of mine drove a 1999 Integra Type R, Wheels, JDM body kit. Wheather you like ricers or not the car was very well done nothing was overdone.

He loved that car. Moved to Dallas and went to a movie. LoJack was in his car.

2 hrs later car was gone. Car was recovered in about 4 hrs 45 min just about. Completely striped. In fact even the screws (original type r screws) were taken.

Have not heard on the insurance situation. But after that story I doubt I will be getting LoJack. I rather not see my car and have insurance pay for a new one even if the rates go up.

LMAO!!! That's about the size of it. People. If someone wants your car, they'll get it! This is what I-N-S-U-R-A-N-C-E is for.
