What is suppose to be new coming out on the FM cars? I read 15 more hp for the 350Z, G35, and F35. Is that true? I also read that power seats are going to get more tech in them or something plus in the cars with memory seats its also going to remeber the postion of where your side view mirrors are is there any truths to these rumors?

 

If the 15 HP is true then it is probably something simple like a different intake. Just a guess but i know its the same motor. Also the transmission is supose to have bigger syncros(sp) for better shifting.

And I don't know about 2005, but you should wait for 2006 and get the 520ZTTTT that someone was talking about.

 

I heard something about that one but you left out one T. Both auto/manual have synchros. I think I might just strip out my transmision on purpose so i can go to the dealer and demand and new 05 tranny.

hey DiRN, i fell for the same joke... there's not going to be a 520ZTTTT, that's a quad turbo... and yes they humiliated me to, from reading other posts, i'm thinking that it's not going to be a new version of the Z, but the concept version of GT-R, kinda looks like a cadillac cts and g35 from what i remember, but as far as the 2005 version goes, couple dealers told me that they think that it's going to just have minor interior changes, nothing significant, and yes the engines still going to be the same...

 

LOL, TTTT you've got to be kidding me. With gas prices going the way they are now, and a TTTT, you'd be getting 5 miles/gallon and the gas prices by 2006 are gonna be up in the 4$ range if we don't do something. What we need is that new toyota volta concept. Damn that thing looks sweet.

As for the 2005, lots of people have asked, but nobody seems to know sh*t about it. Everything's still up in the air.

 

It's only been two years since the Z has been out with about 35k sold the first year and strong sales for the second. Nissan doesn’t need to change anything with regards to hp or styling.

Ill share the little I know. For 05 there is supposed to be either a Supercharged Z or a TT Nismo Z. Ive asked several times at my local dealer and the buzz is for a Z with a lot more than 15HP. TT350Z or Supercharged Z with 350HP???

 

motor trend says that the g35 may get 20 hp... didnt read anything about the z.

 

A Nissan/Infiniti dealership told me that all FM platfrom cars get more HP. The FX45 getting the same hp now as the M/Q45. The G35 15-20 more hp, plus updated seats. The Z new front grill, seats on the cars with no leather, and that 15-20more hp.

 

Supercharged or TT nismo Z was specifically denied by a Nismo rep last time Perf. Nissan talked to them.

I would seriously be glad if they added hp to FM platform cars. Even if its 7hp. I bet they will since the new Altima 3.5 suppose to have 250hp and the SE-R suppose to have 265hp and get 60 numbers close to 5.7 and Nissan dosent wants its sports car to get out performed to 60 by is mid-size sedan. But no flaiming of the VQ brethern car.
