Directional Tire
Just looked at the latest pictures that Jay's posted, noticed that the tire is directional. I checked the pictures that Scafremon took, there is a closed up of the Chrome Silver's tire that shows the same. Look like we can't even rotate the tire left and right without having the tire store dismount and remount them. Of course, front and back are out of question due to different tire size.
I personally never rotate tires for the sole reason of wanting to know how I use my tires. Tires can and should be your first insight to suspension, alignment and chassis setup. Rotating them might increase tire life 5% but why want to loose valuable information for an extra 5% tire life?

Can you please explain more about your statement? I really don't understand it.
Touring...the only way your going to beavle to mount a directional tire from left to right is if the tire is asymetrical. If not, the tire has to stay in that spot.

There is a typo (beavle), so I don't fully understand your statement. Do you mean some directional tire cannot be move from left to right by dismounting from the wheel and remounting them to keep the same rotation? If it true, I wasn't awared of that. Thanks!!!
Touring...sorry. It's the beer from the Tyson-Lewis fight
With a directional tire, it can rotate only in a certain forwad direction. It's possible to alternate the tires from left rear to right rear though.
Yet, some directional tires are also asymmetrical. Meaning the tread pattern only works in one outward direction. So, with a directional tire which is also asymmetrical, one wouldn't be able to alternate as stated above.
Hope that helps.

Hope you enjoy the Tyson-Lewis fight. Did it last long enough for one beer? (I didn't see the news, yet)
Thanks for the info. on asymmetrical tire. Sound like it's the next logical step after directional. Learn something new today. Do you happen to know if the Z tires are asymmetrical? If yes, then there're no tire rotations for the Z.

If the tires are as bad as I've been reading about on this site, you won't have to worry about rotating them, they'll be worn out by the first oil change.

I had the misfortune of having to stop at a tire place today and was inquiring about the proper procedure to use with different sized tires. They said they wouldn't rotate or should I say dismount and swap sides. They also said the 15k to 20k miles is the average life of a high performance tire. So it don't sound like we have to worry about rotating. What a relief
