Everytime I see a Z , they always tries to race me or if not, they think they the shiznitz. I just nod my head and ponder.....LoOsErS!

How many Z's have been sold to date? So many in socal, waving at every Z you see would be like going to 24hour fitness. It's not so special anymore considering it's been out for a while so don't sweat it.

And I'll be honest, I don't wave at anybody with the same car...never did with my integra, nor my supra, nor my TL, nor my Tacoma.

At the same time with my mods, some Z owners with bone stock cars actively ignore me, especially the rich kids whose parents sent them money to buy the car but no money leftover for mods (some kind of inferiority complex or something that comes from never having had to work for something).

jimster717...
Zs are a bit rarer than integras, TLs, and tacomas...and supra are REALLY old...

Zs only been around for 2 yrs? But i gotta admit, here i socal I probably see more Zs and TLs...

and hey! don't stereotype all bone stock Zs. Maybe some of us got tired of something fixed up and just want something stock and fast. I learned my lesson with my accord. Seemed like the more mods i do, the more things get messed up.

Also, don't hate. if the driver "looks" young, doesnt mean they didn't work for the car. I am 23 and my parents didnt pay a cent of my car.

just to clear some stuff up....

Hi Elyliu

Of course not, I always wave at my fellow Z drivers, plus I wasn't in Cerritos Last night, (I was in Tustin).

What a coincedence, I used to go to UCI too. However, I am couple years older than you are.

We should definately start a 562 "Z" club, CODE350Z should join us too. Maybe we should meet up sometimes.[

First of all, did I stereotype all stock Z's? But being in the modding game for longer than you've been driving, I've driven around the block a lot longer than you so I'm just relaying my experience. I've also been in the industry so more often than not (especially in south bay/PV area) the kid with the 3 series, 5 series, benz, or supra or Z probably didn't pay a cent for his car.

1.) Roland Height
2.) Monterey Park
Hey guys, I'm from Cerritos also (although I live in the Bay Area these days). The last few times I was back, it was mostly older Korean ladies driving the Z. But you're right about Rowland Heights and Monterey Park Z drivers. Seems like either they're young, status-seeking ricers, or older, status-seeking ex-yuppies. But then again, the Z is common enough these days that you're going to get the non-enthusiasts in addition to the folks on this board.

If you guys ever see a PPW with black chromed factory 18"s, with "Icy Z" on the plate, that's me. Holla!

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here. I've had my Z for almost 2 months. Here in Houston TX the Z is pretty popular, but I don't see nearly as many Zs as I do TTs. I wave to other Z drivers on the side roads, and when I get next to another Z in stop and crawl freeway traffic. Some wave back and some don't.

I didn't expect the number of folks who want to race when I bought my Z, but geez some of the folks who want to race should know better, and yes I've noticed that an inordinate amount of them are behind the wheel of Jetta's.

When those slower cars try to race, i give them a bit of head start so it makes it more of a challenge

I don't usually wave, but I always throw a rev.....does that count?

Just kidding.

I usually flash my lights or nod.

I have met a ton of Z owners and MOST of them are very friendly. There are a few that think they are better, but I'd say 9 times out of 10 they are friendly. I try to be that way too.

Default I always give a wave or peace but not alwasy get one in return!

Most of the time i dont even get a look...LOL Maybe that is saying somehting..LOL

I have met quite a few Z drivers and they semm to be very nice and have turned out to be very knowledgeable and have been great to hang out with, but then you always have the kid whose mommy and daddy paid for his shizzit and then it is a different story!

I'm in Miami so i see about 1-3 other 350Zs on the road each day. In the past 19 days of me owning my Z i've played with a few on the highway. I always give a nod or a wave, and i get back an acknowledgement most of the time...but its different with the female Z drivers. . I dont know, maybe its because i'm young. When i wave or try to say hey they turn the other way cause they probably think i'm trying to hit on them...

I live in North of SF (Marin County) and I have yet to see another Z on the road. Am I just not paying attention ?

I get a lot of older Zs that pull up and give me the thumbs up.

Regarding random Zs on the street, nod exchanges run about 50/50 here in Denver. It's no big deal. Some of the nonresponders may not have seen my nod.

If you want to meet some friendly Z drivers, try the local club. Club members tend to be more sociable than average by definition. Everyone in the Denver-based Z Car Club of Colorado (www.zccc.org) has very friendly to me.

I've only been a Z owner for about 6 weeks now. I throw a wave at every Z I see and get a response about half the time. I LOVE seeing another Z rolling down the road. I still get just as excited seeing one now as I did before I had one.

Oh no, not this again. :-)
I started a thread awhile back calling other Z drivers snobby. It started quite the firestorm as I can recall :-)
There is a guy that lives about 10 minutes away from me with a Silverstone Performance same as mine.
Not only does this guy not wave, nod, or anything, he actually consciously looks in the opposite direction of me when he sees me coming.
I guess I`m not cool enough and he should be the only one to own a Z in this town.

Hey man ii get that too but most peepsin the ATL will at least acknowledge you have a nice car i get that alot NICE CAR...LOL But most guys have even rolled the window down and talked to me while at the stop light etc...! I had a great conversation with a guy with a CLK 5 series with 20s on it the other day , I always get where did you get those wheels....LOL Well they are Volk GT-7s and they are from Japan...LOL and then they ask how much and it finally gets cut short because of the light turning green....LOL But most guys give me the thumbs up or a nod!

But to go along with some others opinions I have found that older Z drivers tend to turn a blind eye when I try to nod, wave, talk to them, they just stare striaght ahead and grip teh steering wheel tight...LOL Last time I checked drving was supposed to be fun!

Well I have rambled on again but I guess that is why we have these boards..LOL

Peace
