I purchased a used 2004 Silverstone w/ 8k miles on it about a month ago. Upon purchasing the car, the night I took it home I realized I had a interior security light rattle and my front headlights were filmed on the interior of the headlight. I was a little upset.
A month later the rattle was killing me and the film on the light was not looking terrible but still annoying me after paying 30k for a car.
So I take the car into the dealer. Leave them a note w/ the exact symptoms.
Pick the car up.. they gave me 2 brand new headlights, said they fixed the rattle in my dash, and also fixed the creak in my seat. All warranty work as it should be. I was very happy. Only time will tell if the rattle will come back, I believe it will, but for now Im happy.
I was talking to the service manager and he was telling me that nissan USA has a new policy on customers and warranty work. Everytime you bring your car in for warranty work, the dealer sends a form to you in the mail a few weeks later. If just one negative comment is checked/filled in on this form, the dealer fails. I don't know what this means, but it sounds good.
I used to work at this dealer so I know they aren't BSing this stuff
