Whoa, I wish I had the income you have that a piece of plastic costing $350 isn't expensive!
But as for the replica idea, I was under that impression that they are not illegal, provided that they are *slightly* different from the origional part. This can be accomplished by changing a curve my a fraction of an inch or something of the like. For example, aftermarket replacement equipment, such as taillights, never fit 100% as well as factory stuff. This being because they are not allowed to be, in fact, exact copies.
I'm looking to get one in CF.. know of the cheapest place to get this?
