In the mail today I recieved a 350z second edition catolog along with a little note stateing my Z is expected by the first or second week of Nov..... no VIN# however.

Qiute frankly this was unexpected, I was thinking more like Dec. or Jan. after all I ordered the car on 9-9-02.

It's not like I'm calling this guy every two days to ask for an update, in fact I'v never called him, so I see no reason for him to placate me.

Perhaps the early arrival date falls within his allotment quota, being a small (depressed economy) dealer without to many takers on the Z with Winter approching, I mean they dont even have a Z on the lot yet.....whatever the reason, I can only hope.

Was your order part of the preorder?
I ordered mine 9/15, and haven't received anything. I went by another dealer today, and they told me that nissan apparantly had closed down all orders in august...that my dealer has just taken my deposit, but not sent in the order to nissan, waiting for them to open up the ordering again.
Ofcourse then they started talking about an exact same car that I've ordered which will come in end of October for $5K markup....
Did you get a computer printout from your dealer confirming that your order has been sent in ?
Also, where did the brochure come from? From the dealer or nissan directly?

The brochure came from the dealer, kind of a little book with the usual Z promotional stuff you would find on a dealership wall, slick though.

No, I did not pre-order, and I did not recieve any confirmation as of yet. I also paid MSRP, around 34 grand.

I think I'll take a drive up there in the AM and see what he has to say. I here they got a G35 that I can at least here what the VQ sounds like.

Went to the dealer today and they still insist that early Nov will be my delievery date. I asked them for some sort of confirmation in writing but they have none, only a verbal from a regional rep (something like that) that the car is now being built. They claim that a VIN# will be along in a week or so. This dealer still has no Z on there lot and has pre-sold three.

Whatever, I'll see when I see it.

 

I placed my order on 8/27 and got a call back from my sales rep roughly a month later (around 9/25) with a "V" order number. I had asked him to get me the order confirmation number as soon as he got it. I have been given a December/January delivery date. I am wondering how the allocation numbers works into all this. Since the dealer ship I ordered from is a pretty large/high volume dealer (and only about 3 miles from NNA HQ).

Does anyone know the number at NNA that I can call to track my order (i.e. get manufacturing dates, ship dates etc.)?
