Default Clear Bra

The dealer where I ordered my 350Z wants to sell me a clear bra for $299. Anyone have experience with these? It looks like it might be tricky to do it right.

3M makes a film system which is kinda like a clear bra. The problem that I see is it seems to require a mold of the actual car face. Get everything you can about what it is... he could be talking about spraying something not so special on the front of your car claiming it's a clear bra.

From what I have seen, dealer prices on accesories are usually much higher than buying from independent sources. For example, dealer wanted to charge me $400 for carbon fibre dash kit for my Celica. Found it brand new, for $120, on ebay! Ask them exactly what product they will be using/applying and then look for it elsewhere if you really need it. Just my advice.

do some research and be careful. That actually seems awfully low for a good one. there is xpel and stonguard, that I know of, maybe a couple of others. Although I can't remember which, one of the above uses several pieces and the other uses one sheet and gets close to the edges. This is supposedly improtant because dirt can get trapped in the seems. Check out their websites. The good one runs about $4-500 and has comparisons of both types.
