Question What is the slowest you've been pulled over on the freeway?

What is the slowest you've been pulled over on the freeway? Just curious.

I think they should never pull you over under 80. Am I wrong?

90 in a 55 is the slowest ive been pulled over at. cop didn't give me a ticket that time though.
also got pulled over doing 91 in a 55. did get a ticket that time .

ive been passed on more than one occasion by cops while i was doing 80-85 in a 55 near the same area where i was pulled over doing 90 (on I95 near downtown Miami)

no tickets for about 15 years now.

dont remember the last time i was actually pulled over.
Ive been cought at road blocks once or twice, does that count?

keep it real, but keep it safe.
preferably, keep it on the track; however, since we all know this is not a realistic expectation... just keep it out of traffic.

before you assume i drive like grandma...

i have seen the digital speed-o-meter on my car read in the high 150s; however, it was on wide open highway with NO traffic, and we were running spotters.

In short, the only people that had a chance to get hurt, was just us. there is a time and a place for everything....

Well if you don't count the freeway, I've been pulled over for 20 mph before (in a 10 mph zone).

Freeway: 77 in a 65

Street: 47 in a "40" the speed limit was 45 for 10 years before that and the week they changed it I get pulled over (I never noticed they changed it). I fought it and won.

75 in a 65mph, in the second lane of 4, while being passed by a constant flow of traffic going about 80~85mph.

I am sure the fact that I was driving a bright yellow Stealth twin turbo had nothing to do with it...

When I asked him, the cop actually admitted that other cars were going faster but he went on to explain that does not give me the right to speed...

Default well

i personally have never been pulled over for speeding( in only 17 so thats probably a good thing) but something happened here in Ontario last summer was that the flow of the 401 in Toronto usually goes about 120 or so, anyways to make a long story short a guy got pulled over for doing 110 (401 is a 100, this is kilometers by the way!!!!!!) and to make a point of how cops shouldnt pull you over if your going with the speed of the traffic (as the guy with the stealth has had to deal with) he and 3 of his buddies went 100 in all 3 lanes, dangerous- very, but no one got hurt and he made his point along with some charges, backed up the 401 for some large number of kilometers(dont have the stats) why they pull you over if everyone is going the same is beyond me, at least if your going with the flow

Iv lost count of how many tickets Iv gotten in the past...But none in the Z yet keeping my fingers crossed.
As far as speed limits are concerned on freeways I dont think there should be any at least out of city limits.Take Germany for instance they have the best driving statistics with least accidents in the world and we all know they have no speed limit on autobahns. If I were in my power to make laws as far as motoring is concerend I would pass a law were by If you pass an advanced motoring test and could prove that you can handle high speeds you get a special licience allowing you to drive as fast as you like......Id give out a special sticker that you would display save you getting pulled over all the time.Oh well dream on......

Those of you that haven't gotten tickets in years. KNOCK ON WOOD. Don't jinx your self.

willpower, haha I had the same idea too. I did a paper in college on the exact same subject. Germany (parts of Germany) don't have speed limits yet their casualty rates on highways is about the same as US. Many studies have also shown that there's really no corrolation between speed limit and casuality rates.

I made the same recommendation about having the advance drivers test too in my report. And advance drivers should get special roads too.

Driver's tests are too lienient (sp) too. There are plenty of drivers on the road that don't belong there.

All I can do is rant on a 350z forum ....o well, i feel better
