Default Dealers weaseling out of repairs

I am reading the threads on this forum. What is annoyin is that dealers try to weasel out of repairs that is well known for the Z (ie. tire feathers etc.). What I don't get is why would these pple do this knowing the if someone spends 30-35K for a 2 seater obviously he/she luvs their car and therefore has researched it. Don't they realize that car pple buy sports cars and they tend to be well educated about them. They might be able weasel out of repairs under warranty on an Altima or some other family car because these pple tend to buy cars to serve their practical purpose and do not research it as much.
Just a rant.

I'll bet the service staff at most dealerships have no idea what kind of car fanatics they are dealing with when people like us walk in the door. But on the other hand, there are LOTS of Z owners who've never visited a forum or talked to another Z owner. For them, their car is just a 2-seat Altima. They have no idea what tire feathering is, even though their car roars to a stop from 30 MPH.

Also, think about how long it's been since Nissan had a car to be fanatical about! I'll bet alot of service advisors/managers weren't working in those positions back when the 300ZX was in production. It's been a long time since they've had "sports-car people" to deal with on a regular basis, if they've done it all. That doesn't make their borderline unethical behavior any more acceptable though. I'll give you that.

P.S. - If you're going to lump yourself in with the "well educated car people who buy sports cars", you might consider proof-reading your posts before you hit the submit button. I'm really not bashing, I'm just making a friendly suggestion. Your post (though your point is very valid) was pretty hard to read.

Peace out!
