Saturday late night I pull up to a stop light, an older cobra pulls up next to me and says nice car, wanna run. I usually dont street race but no one was around so me and my friend were like sure no problem. I got maybe two car lengths on him before I backed off the gas at about 90. The guy passes me and I give him a friendly wave, he then slows down and throws a beer bottle out of his car at me, just missed thank god.

So now I am seriously pissed and go after him, next light is red and two cars in both lanes stopped on a divided road, he is cornered. My friend in the car, linebacker for U of I. Gets out and walks over to the guys car, hes got the windows up and doors locked, well my friend puts his fist through the window and then procedes to bet the hell out of the guy right in the intersection.

Bad news is that the cop at the gas station on the corner saw the whole thing and arrested my friend for battery. Good news is the guy in the cobra got a DUI and a trip to the hospital.

Thought I would share this with you guys, so many people have been getting there Z's messed with it is nice to know that justice has been at least served in this case.

No shirt, he actually had only one cut on his hand, but I think it was from one of the guys teeth he knocked out.

Bad guy gets beaten, and arrested, friend does the dirty work and takes the blame, and you get the Z out of the way of the bottle!

Although, now your friend will probably end up in court and getting sued for damages and pain and suffering....

I would probably end up in jail too if someone tossed a bottle at my Z.

 

battery is pretty serious. your buddy probably should've just stopped after he busted out the window. i guess the guy got what he deserved and then some but i dont see how it was worth it to be honest. now your bud has legal probs because of some worthless deuchebag.

 

No doubt he is in real legal problems, this is not his first arrest for assult. I did not ask him to do what he did. All I wanted to do was get a liscense plate number so I could call 911 and follow him until a cop caught up so that he could get his DUI. My friend drives an 300ZX so he was very mad that someone was trying to wreck the 350, he loves the Z.

Ah that dude in the Cobra was lucky. You'd be surprised how many Z guys carry Glocks and HKs in the car.

 

Ya know, that actually makes me feel better cause I had some punk throw a beer bottle at my car and left 2 dents. They have since been repaired but I was really pissed for a while.

 

I was thinking just the opposite. After your buddy broke the window, the guy in the Cobra could have blown him away and he would not have spent a day in jail. I think your friend got shaft in this deal and the guy in the Cobra deserved everything he got but it could have been worst.

 

The Cobra guy had it coming. If you throw a beer bottle at a Z, then you get one in your head imo.

 

I would plead temporary insanity...!

You've been lucky, best bet would have been to do your original plan and just report the guy for DUI. Your buddy didn't help himself, or you, by trying to make it personal. People tend to get get killed that way.

Yeah, I love my Z too but I wouldn't die over it.
