You owned the car one year and put 400 miles on it and then got rid of it because of tire feathering hype? You're kidding, I'm sure. At that rate, you could have driven it for 10 years before you ever needed to worry about feathering. In fact, they would have probably rotted before they feathered.

half down, financed the rest. i'm only 20, so i need some positive hits on my credit report

payments show responsiblity, while dropping 35 large in less than 2 months, then jack afterword shows recklessness

Not kidding just 400 miles and appears I'am not alone, at last check I found 11 z's listed used with mileage under 10,000
Like to keep my vehicles in mint condition
and trips to dealer service for warranty service only cause additional problems, because it's only a car to them so what if you get scratch or dent or make 10 trips.

no you're not.

I had been out of college and working only 5 months when I bought my Z, so I didnt have a huge load of cash to put down.

Don't get me wrong. I understand. Mine is 6 months old and only has 1400 miles. I was just curious why you would get rid of it so soon just because of the tire hype. Hype, by the way, which is very real to some owners.

My view is that if I really like the car, it is much cheaper to buy a set of new tires (fronts only, maybe) every year than to take the loss on the sale. Especially, a 2004.

Oh well. Good luck with your replacement.

Paid cash. It's all a matter of perspective. Like the old saying goes, if you are broke a million bucks looks like a lot of money. If you have a million then you are sure it is not enough.

I paid off my purchased new '05 this summer 9 months early. It's REALLY nice seeing that money stay in my checking account.
