half down, financed the rest. i'm only 20, so i need some positive hits on my credit report

Like to keep my vehicles in mint condition
and trips to dealer service for warranty service only cause additional problems, because it's only a car to them so what if you get scratch or dent or make 10 trips.

I had been out of college and working only 5 months when I bought my Z, so I didnt have a huge load of cash to put down.

My view is that if I really like the car, it is much cheaper to buy a set of new tires (fronts only, maybe) every year than to take the loss on the sale. Especially, a 2004.

Paid cash. It's all a matter of perspective. Like the old saying goes, if you are broke a million bucks looks like a lot of money. If you have a million then you are sure it is not enough.
