I hate to hear about the accident, but it seems to me the driver of the 6 shares alot of the blame for the cause of the accident. I don't condone the actions of the driver in the 350z, but it is everyone's responsibility when driving to know what traffic is doing around you. This includes watching out for reckless drivers, faster moving cars, and quite honestly everything that can be seen that has the potential to cause an accident and/or alter the driving dynamics of the car. THe driver stoped in the road was being reckless if his car was still able to move, but the driver in the 6 should have been able to avoid from hitting a car that is not moving, regardless if it has brake lights or not.
Don't drive at a speed where your braking distance is further then the distance you can see and recogonize a possible threat to your safety. there are only a few cases that you can use the excuse that something came out of nowhere and it be ok...like birds, wild animals running on the road.... I stray away from this from time to time but if I were to get in to an accident as a result I would bare all the blame.

Let me get this straight... you seem really pissed off because of a couple RX-8 owners stereotyping all 350z owners because of an idiot... so you decide to stereotype all RX-8 owners because of one or two idiots who happen to drive RX-8s... do you see the hypocrisy of this???
Somebody please delete this thread before our forum loses any more integrity...

If a car (saturn) is travelling at the speed limit and a faster car (350z) cuts it off, its really not getting cut off, because cutting someone off means you pass and then slow down. In this instance it sounds like the man in the saturn reacted harshly which made him lose control of his car (the thread even mentions he was in reverse on the freeway ?!? ) and the 6 driver was too close for comfort.

Of course that's only the Mazda driver's story. I wonder if that's the way it actually went down. Perhaps the Mazda was actually trying to race the Z (if there even was a Z involved), and the Mazda driver blew it when they hit traffic. The Saturn could have been knocked into reverse by the impact. Somehow that rings truer to me than the story told by the Mazda driver.
In any case, hitting someone from the rear is almost always the driver doing the hitting's fault. He was either driving too fast, following too closely, or failing to pay attention.

I'm also quiet dissapointed with that Forum. Most RX8 owner seems to hate to admit their problem (mostly Fuel Economy). THey'll Get Furious if you said RX8 have a Fuel Economy problem

350black,
That's kewl... the way the initial message came across to me was a little different... thanks for clarifying.
If a couple RX-8 owners want to trash my car, that's fine. I couldn't give a rat's @$$ what they think... I love my 350Z and A LOT of other people seem to love it too when I'm out cruising...
