Depends on the weather. I dont think the ZR is practicle where I live as a daily driver. Now if it is only driven on weekends or nice days, I say the roadster. Never go with the top up or top down with windows up (thats plain gay)!

if you just want to race it, get the coupe. It's stiffer and cheaper.

if you like the convertable feeling, get the ZR. It's not much slower. And the suspension is more liveable on a daily basis.

So if you got the dough, and can live without a little bit less performance...go for the ZR...

Get the roadster. With the top dropped, it wins the looks contest hands down. And you can always pick up a cheap Civic or pickup if you don't want a convertible as a daily driver.

My zr is my only car atm and I fall in love with the car on a daily basis. I don't know how anyone can say it doesn't look good top up, it is one of the few convertibles that looks great in any mode. I will be getting a second car soon only because I need some room to carry stuff. People still break their necks looking at it top up or down, I think the coupe is gorgeous as well. Either way they both rock but as others said if you live in a state with fair weather year round then get the zr.

I think the ZR with the top looks freaky... that's my opinion... get the coupe or get G35 coupe where you have the sunroof

The ZR might be one of the best looking convertibles out there with the top up, but if you compare it to the Z coupe--- there's no contest!

The ZR doesn't have the sexy sloping roofline of the Z coupe. I think that this sloping roofline is one of the defining styling features of the Z-- and what differentiates the Z from other cars in most people's eyes. Don't get me wrong, the ZR will turn heads with the top down, but the coupe will attract a crowd.

Just my .02....

Hmmm.. well, since you're in Houston, you've got excellent weather for the Zr unlike me in WA where it rains all the time.

I think the Zr looks pretty bad w/the top up. With the top down, well, I guess convertibles might turn heads more and if you like driving around w/a top down, I'd go for it. Personally, I think the Zr even w/the top down looks inferior to the coupe. There's just something wrong w/the rear of the car being this flat, long expanse.

here are my .02 I own a red ZR here in MA and we dont always have great weather but regardless of that it always turns heads top up or down .
I do agree that the coupes roofline looks better than the ZR's with the top up because that was one of my biggest issues when deciding.
But the fact of the matter is that when it counts on those gorgeous sunny days and you drop that top the car and go cuisin' with your girl, dude there is no way its the same in the coupes shell.
There is just something sooo many girls find generaly attractive about drop tops let alone a car as hot as the Z fugetaboutit!!!

If I had the ZR, I would break it. I love watching the top open and the passenger seat moves as well, it looks and works amazing. The engineers who designed it, did a very good job.
