can paintless dent repair be done on the bumpers of the Z? or does it only work on metal surfaces?

The shop that painted my wing said "no can do" on the bumpers, front or rear. I haven't pursued it further.

my nissan body shop quoted me around $300 for this:

i havent dont it yet but im gonna get it fixed as soon as i get some extra money
You can barely even notice that. I'd rather save up that money and do some mods.

I feel your pain mc350z. When I took mine to the dent guy he couldn't find the dent I wanted fixed. I had to show him exactly where it was.

Here in Ventura County Mr Ding gave me a quote. I think thats their name, anyway I have a nickle size ding on the the upper part of my front bumper. Yeah no can do as far as paintless dent repair. They need to heat the front bumper, and smooth it out. As far as re-paint they said it would be unnecessary. Quote including all fees is 175.00 out the door. I was completely pissed at the price at first but seeing other quotes it seems very reasonable.

PDR will not work on the plastics. But, a good bumper guy should be able to take care of it pretty easily. Depending on part of the country fix will run anywhere from $85 to $200. Deal directly with the repair guy not the dealer or body shop, they'll tack on their cut to his price. If a body shop does it, it will run around $300 +.

Can this heating up of the front bumper work for creases also? I wouldn't necissarily call mine a dent, but it's more of an indented line... not perfectly straight either. It's like a lazy L shape, if you know what I mean. I've been wanting to have my bumper repainted for a while anyways.

Somewhat...
kind if difficult to describe, but I'll try. It begins (or ends) right around the driver side front license plate hole, then it moves downward more towards the center of the bumper like at a 45 degree angle ( like a / kinda) then it keeps going straight and ends a couple of inches below the passenger plate hole. Hope that wasn't too confusing

I really don't know how I got mine. My best guess is that someone slowly backed up into my car. I had just been away that day for about an hour or two. When I got back, that was the first thing I noticed

Not noticable unless you're in an area that shows a good amount of reflection off the car, then it looks pretty horrible.
