2003 New 350z
Hey Guys
I tried using the search function but it was really overwhelming. I know there are a lot of problems with the 2003 350Zs but I found a new 350Z for a decent price.
Do you guys think $26,500 for a 350Z Enthusiast 6MT is a good price. It is late model 2003 with 60 miles.
And I know when I go to the dealer today, I'm going to want to check certain things. I can't check tire feathering (unless I go on a 5,000 mile test drive) but are there other "defects" I can check right at the initial inspection?

some have had a few problems and many more have been no problem at all.
tire feathering, window streaks, lousy bose stereo (does enthusiast have bose?) sticky hatch release, a few rattles here and there. Other than that, work em for the best price and grab it!

I say that you can probably go lower than that Its been on the lot for a very long time and the dealer knows that. The 05s are just around the corner so I they said they give it for 26,500 then you should actually be able to get it for a minimum of 25,500. If you want this car you are in the driver seat big time.

If you can wait, I would wait for the 2005 Z's. See what they have in store.

Good luck.

Hey, Roydiculous
You probably saw my car at that dealership (Coloniel Nissan).. I bought it (Redline Enthu) last week for $24,500. Picking it up next week (hopefully). They also had 2 Tracks and 1 Touring all of them in SS. My sales person's name is Tony. They tried to push me into one of the Track for $29,999 but didn't have $ to spend.
Sorry bro....hope you find what you are looking for soon tho.

I went to colonial and saw your car - ARGH I should have gotten there before you. I ended up getting a Silver Performance. Thanks for passing over the $$$, I was able to get a pretty good deal off MSRP b/c of that.
I'm picking up the silver performance on Saturday. I prefer the 17" over the 18" wheels, do you like them? Maybe we can deal! hehe

wait, I don't recall Coloniel having Performance....is your's 04?

Nope - 2003 350Z Performance with 41 miles in Chrome Silver. I really like your Redline - wanna swap deals? hehe
The reason I like the 17" better is because I live right in the middle of boston and there are tons of potholes, the 18" would get devoured. That's pretty much it. I think they are both sweet looking wheels.
I think I got the last 2003 - well there might be some track left. I think it's very very fishy how they have/had so many 2003s on the lot when no one else could even get 2004 allotments. Just plain wierd!
Where you looking for a performance? I'm serious in that I'd swap deals with you. Although did you mind that they drilled holes for the front bumper in your redline? I told them I wouldn't take delivery if there were a front plate.

I hear you Roy....I also live close to Boston (Brighton) and work in Boston as well. Between the big dig and the pot-hole on Comm ave is just rediculous.
I wasn't specifically looking for Performance although it would be nice to have but I had certain price budget and enthu was right for me.
If you look at those 03 models they have carefully, none of them are from Coloniel Nissan. My Enthu was originally from a delaer up in Maine and the Silver Track sitting next to it was from a dealer in NY (Central Nissan??)....it says right on the window sticker. I agree that something is weird that they have so many new 03 models.....check your window sticker and see the original destination. I was told that they bought several of them from other dealer thinking that they can easily sell and make quick money but guess they just got stuck and couldn't give it away.
I originally went to the dealer cause they had an ad from Boston Globe advertising the enthu model for $25388 and $500 additional to recent college grad. One mistake they had was the paper said it was 04 model. I didn't give them too much hard time on that since I knew that must be a misprint wether it was intentional or accidental. either way it was still a good deal.

Ya I hear ya... I graduated a year ago from Tufts. There IS not supposed to be a $500 grad rebate and there IS supposed to be a 90 day deferred payment option but they said it's not offered - they are really sketchy just like every stealership.
