as of MSRP... you forgot "+ doing a break-in in one day + having fun traveling".... day off from work and hotel rooms and misc I would also put as a discount not as mark up! Personally, I enjoy any ride in my Z. Ze longer ze better... especially if it includes staying for z night in some far away place...

Who said you can't find specific car? Also you can ask about mileage, and ask to keep it at that number, if you like it...

Ordered my 350 Z Oct 3, still no order number.....what is the phone number to check if orders are real......I can not find the phone number for NNA....My salesman said he would get back to me later this week with a possible order number.....I too am trading in my Maxima I sure wish I could afford both because the Maxima is a really nice car.

Summary of what I know...
I'm the guy who started this thread. Here's an update:
After a week Nissan called me back and confirmed that my order
was indeed placed correctly. (I was just being paranoid.)
They said my car should arrive 12/28 at the latest. (East coast,
ordered first week of October. Order # is W212xxx.)
My understanding is that the dealer receives the "order
confirmation number" from Nissan IMMEDIATELY after he orders
the car. So if your dealer has actually ordered your car, he
should be able to give you an order number right away. If he
says it will take a while, he probably isn't going to order your car
till the beginning of the next month.

Bad news boys and girls..... any shipments coming into the west coast have just been bumped out 78 days. So, cars due into a dealer today will not be arriving until about 78 days from now. East coast shipments will not be affected. That is the word from Nissan North America.

Dealer just called and gave me my W230544 order number. Called NNA, they stated that they will no longer give out info on cars......Must call dealer for tracking information. I also asked NNA if there is any truth on the 78 day delay on the west coast they have not heard of anything about this......
