What kind of information is the dealer supposed to give me on my 350z order? I ordered in late August and he said that my car should come in early November/late December. Its been a month now and I have had no communication with the dealer whatsoever. I told them to call me every time they had a car in so that i could come in and look at them (not sit, just look). They never called me. Many members have recieved order numbers, however I haven't. I understand i ordered after the pre-order program was over, but dont i get some type of info concerning my car? Is all of this out of my control?

 

You're going to need a lot more patience if you plan to make it to December.

Based on the fact that you ordered in August, you should be happy that you might be getting your Z this year. Many people who ordered after the pre-order program may have to wait until 2003.

I wouldn't worry about your dealer just yet. When they get the cars in, they have pre-order folks who have been calling them everyday for months dying to get in there and take the Z home. So you can't blame them for not calling you. When my Z comes in, my dealer better call me and no one else. Some people have been waiting for 9 months and it gets harder every day. This is a great board for info, but the reason you probably haven't got a response yet, is because most of these guys have been through so much worse with waiting and dealers, etc.

I don't think you'll receive any confirmations from Nissan like the pre-orderers, but wait a little while and then follow up with your dealer for your order number. Couldn't hurt to have, but your best to just sit tight until mid-to-late November. By then, most of the pre-orders will be filled and your dealer can focus more on your car.

Trust me, the waiting only gets worse.
