The Hurst/Olds originally was a 442 specially modified by Hurst.
I had a 1979 H/O. It was on the ‘downsized’ Cutlass body. A mere image of the Hurst/Olds’ of the late-60s & early- 70s. I’m sure you remember the dark-ages of the late-70s, early-80s. But it was still a “hot” car for that era.
The H/O was the only Cutlass that year with a 350CI V8. They only produced 2499 in ’79 and only 1334 in black w/gold trim like mine. And even though it wasn’t as hot as the H/O of 8 or 10 years earlier, I still kick myself for selling it.
