Haha, H2s and GT3s and Segways and his brother with a Modena... sweet. I would never get my 17 kid a $30,000+ 350Z let alone any of the above.... I'm not saying my life was very hard but I think there is value in working toward a goal, whether it be a nice house, a ferrari, an MBA, starting a volunteering program, etc.

But then again I'm 22 and COMPLETELY independent and I get "mommy and daddy get you that nice graduation present?"

And I say "No, while you were drinking your face off senior year, I was partying AND looking for a job" - turns out the haters that give me the most $hit are the ones living at home off mommy and daddy cause they graduated over a year ago and still can't land a job. Sweet sweet irony.

First car - 1959 chevy impala two door (when I was 15 yo, cost me $50)
Favorite car I ever owned 1967 Lotus Europa (owned it from about 1978 -1981)
Mom and Dad have passed away, so I have to pay for mine myself. BTW, although my father had boocoo money, automobiles were our problem - he paid nothing, however, we
could have anything we wanted - as long as we paid for it.
Totally - including insurance. He figgured he was doing us a favor by allowing us to park our junks by his house. HAHA.
As for my Z performance model; lemans sunset,
Daily driver - I mean daily - and the paint job is showing it.
Seems to be a cheap clearcoat, chips easily.

all i can say is young and old people can appreciate this car. i was a true believer in honda... actually i going to get an 04 s2k, but after driving a Z i was completely sold... my first car was civic hatch until it got stolen... kinda glad it did though. i was putting way too much money into that car.

My first car was my dads 1964 American Rambler with a 3 speed on the column. Bought my first car at 20 from a friend, 1969 GTO.

soon to be 25 and hopefully i'll get an insurance break...

maybe it's just me, but it seems like the average age of roadster owners is about 20+ more than the average age of coupe owners...

I'm interested to know too, because I did work my a** off to just get by when my dad kicked me out at 18. Being that young, you have no experience at anything and wont get hired for anything but a bit more than minimum wage. Anyone who can afford $400-$600/mo payments at 18-21 either have one of these situations.

1) A trust fund, other inheritance, or made tons of cash as a teen star or something.

2) Work for their parents company or parents friend's company at way above normal wages.

3) Live at home (or with a bunch of friends sharing rent) and work full time for a company the parents don't run. All cash besides maybe about $50 a pay goes to payments, insurance , and maintenance. I wish I could live at home. I'd have a Elise, Z06, or even a Ferrari!

4) Parents pay for it. At mininum, pay for car payments and/or insurance. (The "parent helps" pay plan.).

5) They are Doogie Houser, and have a Doctorate at 16, therefore can afford the payments. Even Doogie lived at home the first few years. lol

6) Are 2, 3 or 4 but had a car with a huge trade-in value they didn't buy themselves, or had lots of help financing it. Therefore, payments are super low. I also put "parents finance" in this category.

I almost want to start a poll!

17...well basically my father and i share it as a "fun" car that we can both enjoy. I myself drive a 2003 Mustang V6 everyday as well as the Z on weekends etc.. I don't consider myself spoiled because in a way i feel that i deserve a car of that value. I have a nearly perfect G.P.A., im the editor of my school newspaper, and an avid member of my high school varsity lacrosse team
