So my advice is talk big, show off your car to get as many girls as possible. Your only young once.
I wouldn't have wanted a Z at 17 because it would have been:

A) Totaled by me for driving like a tard.
B) Keyed by some douchebag in a rusty 82 Firebird.
C) Stolen by another 17 year old who would have then totaled it.

My 10 year old Prelude was a better option. It was slow and worth about $3k.

When I was a teenager I saw the commercial for the 300Z debut and I have been hooked ever since. I'm sure there are kids out there dreaming about the 370 the way I did the 300. Wheither you earn it or its is a gift, you don't have to dream anymore because it's yours.

Not a left over hippie, though might have done some of the things hippies are famous for. Had a nice little 59 porshe coupe when I got out of college, then the second child came along then the volkwagon then the Volkswagen van--------- family issues --------30 years past, my turn for a fun, fast car. I drive as fast as I can ----whenever possible. I love the Z and those sticky goodyear tires.

I normally don't post but after reading a few of yours, I had to say something. We are all lucky here, you own a Z man. Next time you want to spew some hate, remember that feeling you had when you drove off the lot. We all felt that.
You might want to put me on ignore. I'm always this way.

I choose to listen to all logic. I will not ignore you. I understand your frustration. You work hard for something and then some people have it handed to them and they don't appreciate the hard work some of us have to put in. A 17yr old owning a Z somehow takes away from what we have accomplished in earning ours. Just remember the car doesn't tell our story. It's an awesome car but I'm a man who stands strong with or without it.

Hey! Happy Birthday! Sorry I didn't notice that on your post. The smoked lenses, Santa Cruz Mountains brought back memories. I'm 70 so I'm a couple years ahead of you. The VW van's were pieces of crap. I had a 65. How many valves did you burn up? I did the married, kids thing, but I also tried to have as much fun as legally possible. I haven't evolved, so I'm pretty much the same way...it's just harder to run down those sweet young things. I just got home from the drag races at Infineon, so I am doing my part to go fast, but I'm rolling on Toyo's. This Z is one of the best all around cars I have ever owned.

I had just turned 18 when i got mine had a rx8 before that what a mistake. Very glad i have a z now. Also i paid for both with all my own money and i insure. I could have had one at 17 but i didn't cause. Well i don't have a good reason. But i have one now and im sure there are a few other 17 and 18 year old that can afford a 350z. I dont see how it would take away from older people owning them. I worked for mine so i feel i deserve it.

You kids deserve the shirt off my back. You are the greatest generation ever... the very pinnacle that society will ever know.

saw 350z in 2003. Fell. In. Love. Vowed to myself to get a degree and Z by my own means. Zoom forward and the keys to a 2004 silverstone Z were handed to me and Z is mine. I've had Z for 4 days and words can't describe the joy. Getting degree at the end of the year in time for X-mas to match the Z.

keys handed to you and you don't have a degree yet?

What's your degree going to be in?
