Default 1/4mile runs

I know the car is still new and all that. But i was wondering who has backed up the magz times of 13.8-14.1 at 100-102? Any 1/4 mile runs? and what mods do u have at the time of the run?

I think the 13.8 is a little low considering the hp,weight, and
torque of the 350z.With a very skilled driver and powershifting
maybe, but 14.1-14.3 is more like it.
I would love to race one and find out just how quick they
are.
They are killer cars though.

I was also at the track that day and seen him run that time. I seen him run 4 or 5 different times and they got better with each run. That experimenting with the tire pressure must have helped. I also noticed you had alot of wheel spin off the line, once you get that down you should be in the high 13's easy. I happened to have my videocam with me and have you running against that boosted rx-7 that you smoked. What about that silver Supra that was there, beautiful car! Later

Don't be too upset that people aren't responding...not that many people have even gotten their Z yet, let alone broken them in. I think barring people in warm climates, you're aren't going to see a large pool of time slips until next spring and summer.
I'd tell you my times, but I race around corners at autoX, etc, not in a straight line.

Ur car isnt broken in yet. U should try it again after 2K or so and see how fast it will run. I'm sure u can hit high 13's. Oh yeah what was ur 60ft on the 14.3 at 98 run? and how big of a shot are u going to use?

Default Old Gezzzzer on Drag Strip

For what its worth, I ran my car at PIR last week with 1400 miles on it. Auto trans, holding shiifts to 6000+. Didn't load the tranny very muchar start, since it was first time on strip and didn't want to damage car. Best run, 14.6 sec. 96.5mph and .62 reaction time.

Not bad for an old gezzzzer on the first run. I'll try it again next spring with more miles on the car.

Keep on Z'n Still jumpin for joy !

I'd also drop tire pressures to maybe 30psi. This *might* increase your vertical tire contact patch. The factory recommended 35psi tire pressures are geared for corner carving.

If you're really wanna go ***** out, then slap some 15" rims w/ high profile tires and really drop the tire pressures.

Michael.

Michael.
If someone want to hook up best with the stock tires he should drop the tire pressure between 23-28PSI and pump the air in the front tires to around 40psi.
