Look through the various pics on this board. There are few of what you want scattered about.

Cool

This should help. I got these measurements back in February at the Dallas Auto show. I had to give direction to the Nissan rep since she wouldn't let me measure it myself, but this is a pretty good approximation of the hatch area.

Front to back = 36"
Side to side measuring the REAR of the hatch area = 54"
Depth from bottom of strut base to floor of hatch = 10"

I didn't want to press my luck getting anymore measurements so I will assume that the area between the struts, measured at the base of the strut tower is roughly 24-28".

Thanks a bunch man. That's exactly what i was looking for. Damn only 10" from he strut brace to the floor. That's going to be difficult to build a box for.

droidekaus,

This picture came to my mind when I saw the subject of this thread. I bookmarked it after I saw your post the first time at the other forum. I know it will be handy one of these days when I wonder if this or that will fit. I think the Dallas Auto Show was in March, I was there.

Well, look like you're one of the regular member over there that just moved here. I recognized your screen name. Welcome aboard.

If that's 54" across the back end, why can't a set of golf clubs fit? Regular off the shelf drivers are only 45" long. My bag of clubs measure 60" from the bottom of the bag to the tip of driver's head.

Just trying some logical thinking.

According to the cutaway drawing of the Z, the spare tire lives under the floor, below the back Strut Brace. Looks like its going to be a little awkward getting it out. Having the spare there will sure make putting in a sub woofer a bit of a problem.
