Default First Anniversary, thanks....

On July 2, 2003 I purchased a Silverstone Enthusiast 350Z. I took my baby home the next day. And now a year and 4,699 miles later I love this car more than ever.

I can truly say after over 30 years of driving experience and owning 12 vehicles, this has been the best car ever and most enjoyable driving experience I’ve ever had.

I realize most of you think I’m crazy to only have put 4,699 miles on this baby after a year. But that’s okay; I plan to keep this car for another 25 years! I’ll give it to my grandson – the ultimate family heirloom!

I keep my baby in a climate-controlled garage, pampered, and she is spoiled. She has only been rained on twice. I went out to see her this morning to wish her happy anniversary. I sat down and she smells just like she did a year ago when I picked her up. Ahhhh, virgin new car smell, the best smell in the world.

Finally, this site has been a blast. I’ve been on this board since April 24, 2003 and it is the best Z site on the net . Last year after I decided to buy a Z I signed up on all the Z forums. But over the year I gradually stopped visiting the others and now I’m hooked here. Sure we have our share of jerks, idiots, and haters, but member for member this site has the most intelligent, witty, humorous, mature, and responsible of any Z site, or any car forum on the web. Even an old man like me has learned a lot about cars in general, the Z in particular, and life over the last year. Thanks guys (& gals), you all are the best.

And now, year two!

I think I'm gonna cry j/k.

On the more serious note I doubt that I could have so little miles on the car in a year, especially the Z. I guess I will find out soon enough.

My 1 year anniversary was 11 Jun 04 and I have only driven 3050 miles.

Wow, just noticed, but I have 2003 posts matching the year of my Car.

Congrats! I traded my Mazda Miata 2000 Special Edition for my 350Z roadster two weeks ago. My Miata had 16,000 miles after 4 years - she was the ultimate garage queen! Rained on it 7 times in 4 years.

I am taking a much more different approach on my Z. I already have 1500 miles in 2 weeks, and expect to use this as my daily driver and 20K+ miles a year. After owning my Miata for 4 years, I realized as I sold it to Carmax that I wasted my time - I should have driven it and enjoyed it more. I too hope to keep my Z for many years, and maybe see 200K+ miles on it!!!
