i have a wrx. i think the z is awesome and a superior car as an overall package. wrx is great for pure mod$/performance or you require awd. most of the posters on wrx forums have complete respect for the z.

I own a 2003 WRX (modded "stage 3") and absolutely LOVE the 350Z. I'm a member on nasioc.com, and obviously this site as well, and i think in general most WRX/STi owners like and respect the 350Z. A true "car enthusiast" gives credit to more than just one car !

I routinely run in to WRX Stis (do they only make it in blue???) and the drivers are always friendly. Sometimes during the mindless commute or whatnot, it's cool to see someone else who is an enthusiast - a common bond. Cause most people that drive around can't and only do because they HAVE to. I drive because I want to.

Woo hoo! On another note - one of my friends just got a Pruis - 47mpg - he's a tree hugger AND still loves my 350Z.

I of course own a 350Z. I dont recall any WRX trolls either. I really like the STI and am a fan of the car. Most Evo and STI drivers I encounter are really cool fools. Nowwwwwww the cars that always seem to want to egg it one are the Neons aka SRT4, Civic hatch backs, and Eclipses. Now I have definitely seen the Neon trolls come in and talk their SH**. Car for Car stock the Z beats it hands down. Nuff said on that point. Sprayed on, Supercharged, Turboed, raised PSI, whatever that doesnt count, because we can all make are cars as fast as we can afford. I dont know about all of you but I like the idea of enjoying my car for what it is, and appreciating the fact that I personally dont have to drive a Mustang anymore. No offense to Mustang owners, but all the ones I ever owned were one bad experience lent to another. Thats not to say there arent some bad *** Mustangs out there because there are, it just didnt work for me.


Oh yeah, age has a great determining factor in all of this. When I was in my teenage days I was very daring and had a real big chip on my shoulder. Now that I have a family, pay a mortgage and pay more taxes than most people will ever understand I feel a little more relaxed to a degree. I dont feel I have to challenge everyone on the street just because I feel I am the best, or baddest around. It seems this younger generation is hell bent on proving that even if it means chasing you down and shooting at you. Sad how a great deal of our youth cannot designate whats right from wrong. Like someone once told me if you dont stand for something youll fall for anything. Amen....... Long Winded Rant, yeah STI's and EVO"s are cool.

When my wife's car craps out, we're buying an STi to park next to the Z. A rocket with four doors and AWD...how can people troll on it? If the production Sti was made to look more like the WRC race car, I'd be more inclined to buy it for myself and have my wife buy the Z after her current car craps out.

I really do like that Sti, and would love to own one some day, but I also have no regrets about getting the Z.

As for trolling, every forum has its trolls. Just ignore them.

Same here... i like the Impreza's before and after the round headlight models. I don't really prefer those cars over a Z, but no way am i gonna deny that they are fast... especially the sti's. But if i really needed/wanted 4-doors and awd, i'd actually choose the evo instead.
I've run into a couple of SRT-4 guys who are idiots though, as soon as i see it, i'm thinking he's gonna do something dumb, and sure enuff, soon as i pull next to him he starts revvin an wants to race. A couple ppl i know who have neons is because they are cheap (~14-15g cdn)... so it blows my mind why someone would spend $30g+ on a faster neon... but that's just me
