Default Car Cover...where to buy, how much, quality

I am thinking about buying a car cover since at most times when I have to go to a client, its in a "shady" area of Chicago or wherever so I wouldn't be driving the Z. I was wondering where you guys have bought your car covers for the Z, how much, and really which ones are the best. I would be using it for the winter of course. Let me know what ya think

well the cover i have is from covercraft and its the noah, it was about $133 i think. Its pretty dang good for my needs. pretty tough on the outside and soft on inside. But then again im in LA and winter here is not really winter, it just rains and thats it. the cover i have i would recommend to anyone, but as u know practically no cover is completly water proof. i use mine to keep dust off and to protect against sun and such. But let me tell u the bigest pain with covers is keeping it and ur car clean. Cause if ur car is dirty and u put it on then the cover gets dirty and everytime u put the cover on it will make ur car dirty so i have to make sure its not too dirty or else i wont put it on.

the absolute BEST material for winter is the Weathershield material or the Superweave material

they are supposedly the same thing...i got mine from calcarcover.com

its pricey but worth it

its not thick so you might think that its a POS but thats not the case...doesnt have ding protection but its the only thing for the winter

I got the Stillen one from Performance Nissan.. got it for about $100. It fits ok and feels durable. the only thing is that you need to cut your own antenna hole which isn't that hard to do anyways. comes with instructions, a carrying bag, extra fabric, and a rope to tie down your cover

The car is going to be in the garage when I have this cover on, so it doesn't need to be for outdoor use. The reason I would like it now is because when I wash my car and then come back the next morning, it already has a ton of dust on it from the garage. I just would like to have this cover so when I have it in the garage for periods of time, it will collect less dust and not be a threatt to scratching the paint. I've heard there are covers for indoor use and outdoor, so I guess I need to find one that would be very soft.

Something to avoid:

I unknowingly put my car cover on when my -Z- had tiny spots of tree sap on it. I (of course) did not know it at the time.

The tree sap migrated to the car cover.

Until I figured out what was happening...every time I used the car cover, I got these tiny smear marks on my -Z-.

Although the car cleaned-up fine, I could not get the sap off of the cover.

Currently I'm not using the cover. Perhaps I'll find a way to clean it.

Never put the cover on your car unless it is absolutely clean.

i'm using car cover the same reasons as you zblue70. car gets really dusty if i don't drive it for 1 day. i don't use it outdoors. the Stillen one was the cheapest i found and i'm pretty happy with it. it has a soft, plush feel to it
