I read it, but here's the sad truth... I wish I had my Z to offer a first hand opinion.

IT AIN'T HERE YET!

So, that's just me. I can't speak for the other post viewers...

Can I have my Z now? Please?

yes you can remove them .. just unscrew like a couple screws and they come right off ... probably will take 5 minutes to do ..

They may be put on during assembly whether you order them or not. This has happened to several others. Please search for other thread.

Thanks and good luck.

IM pretty sure that the holes are already drilled, as they are PORT installed and most nissan cars offer the guards with a screw driver as the only needed tool. Looking at my Z, I see screw holes for gurads that are plugged off with little plastic caps. Although, I must interject that I wish I has the guards, and I really want some. Are yours gonna be silverstone?

Anyway, the biggest BIGGEST thing if that this car is a little brake dust factory and that stuff is getting all over the side of my car!!!! I also think they look awesome, but forget about the look and get them anywayz!!!

Definitive answer for you on where the screw holes are....

Front- There are two that are screwed into holes in the whell well and one that is screwed into the bottom of the side inside of the lip that runs the length of the door.

Rear- There are two screws that go into the rim of the rear tire fender and one that goes into the bottom side of the rear bumper along the side.

The two screws that are both front and rear that are around the wheel well area can be seen up close. The one screw that is underneath the car on both front and rear cannot be seen except when you put your head underneath the car.

All screws are black but I am sure if you really must you can buy different colors to match.

It is as easy as unscrewing the three screws to take of the splash guard so I would assume it would be less time if you use a powered screwdriver.

I couldn't tell you if the holes are there if you didn't order splash guards.

I preordered a car without splash guards as I knew they would look stupid, but the car I ended up getting from a dropout preorder had them and I ended up liking them as they round out the sides better.

Don't mean to sound harsh to the guy who asked the question but mainly to the bozos out there with the bad info.

No problem. Only took three minutes to go out to the garage to take a peek at where these things are. If I had a digital camera, I would have posted pics for you too.

No problem waiting. They do look good though.
