Default AZ People going to Dyno tomorrow, new time is 12 >>

AZ Zers, we're going to Dyno a few Zs tomorrow, everyone is welcome. Dyno is $40(1-2 runs), and it starts at 12pm.
We're gonna be there w/ a 350Z to dyno HP gaines w/ a JWT pop charger. if you have any questions, call me 623-937-6400.

Glad to hear you are doing this. I was going to Dyno mine next weekend but I look forward to your results.

Quick question - do you have the heat shield for the JWT Pop Charger?
If not maybe I will Dyno mine anyway to see if it differs at all from yours.

Sorry Long Weekend :-)

Well, I'll have more info soon, but we did lose HP w/ the JWT intake. We need a heat shield, cause it sucks too much hot air. We'll run the test again, when JWT has the heat shield done :-) Plus we found a nice location for a cold air intake on it, very easy :-)

I just popped in a K&N and it's sounding good. I'm excited about the cold air intake. If it needs to be redesigned for optimal cold air intake let's do it! Can't wait to hear more - I'm sold

Thanks for saving me 120 bucks.

When ever somone makes a mod that actually MAKES HP they will get my cash.

We're not afraid, I just want to post actual results. We had 232HP in 5th, and 227HP in 5th w/ the JWT pop Charger. I should have the graph, and pics up soon.

Thanks for doing this, it's nice to finally "know". As it is I took the JWT off my car Sunday anyway...
Any idea when you'll get a heat shield? Do you want me to see if Jim will let me send you mine (since I'm not using it anyway?) I'm curious if it makes any difference at all.
As it is I think I will wait for a real CAI.

Low fuel has the heat shield from Jim Wolf. He wants to send you the heat shield so you can dyno with it on.

I don't believe the Heat Shield will bring the pop charger into the gains range. It will show some improvement, but I bet no gains over stock. The heat shield does not resolve the problem that the pop charger is pulling warm air. You need to get the intake outside the engine compartment (like the stock air box).

why in the hell would someone want on open air element???????

this thing is already set up with what looks like a (almost) ram air system!!!!!just drop a k/n element in.

Have any of you thought that nissan did all the mods to the car before in their manufaturing???????

I HAVE ALSO SEEN HEADERS AND EXHAUST.... LOSS H.P.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND STICK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE.

If you dont like the performance of the 350z , you should not have bought it to begin with.

Well the concept was to gain HP, like all other JWT pop chargers. The Z32TT gained an extra 20HP when we dynoed, so we were looking for some impressive numbers from this monster, but the location of the intake, is right next to where the radiator blows heat. We need to relocate it, and we should be all set. We'll see what kind of numbers the heat sheild will give us.... I just don't understand how companies were claiming 4-12HP gaines w/o even doing tests.... oh well...

I dont know if you let the car cool off between runs.

ALso, was ur first run STOCK and second run with the open ellement intake?? or vice versa?
