I'm not really a fan of the Lemans sunset, but it really looks good with the windows tinted.

 

Who's the girl in the picture?

 

The girl in the picture is Bridgett (Owner of Hot Spot Tinting) also known as my boss. The guy in the picture above is David who we purchase the 3M kits from, helping us with the installs. I'm usually behind the camera, one day I'll pass the camera off to someone else so I can get on here. Anyway, I got some pix that day too I'd like to share. I actually got a pic of the LeMans Sunset car before it was done so you can compare.
So below is the first pic with it untinted. The first pic at the top of this post is a great one of the finnished product so I'll just post some pix below of different angles etc.

those tints really do enhance the coolness factor of the Z by about 20% .. im just curious .. what is the legal tint limit in Georgia, and what is it in California(if anyone knows)

 

I got a few pix of Karls Bra install as well I might as well put up here. He wants me to email him some pix of his finnished product but I wasn't able to get those before it got dark outside so either I or he will get those up here as soon as we can.

 

are they cutting the kit on the car? hmmmm..I thought that was a bad thing?

350ZPower... you asked "im just curious .. what is the legal tint limit in Georgia, and what is it in California(if anyone knows)" I just did a quick search on google for "tint laws" and came up with this which should tell you what you need to know as well as any of the rest of you in other states. Legal here in GA is 32% but here is the link http://www.pcisys.net/~bpc/auto_law/tint/

Derrik.. um no, they are not cutting on the car, that WOULD be bad, they are just stretching the material and pushing out wrinkles and bubbles with different tools as they adhere it to the surface. That's a blue rubber squeegee David has in his hand not a knife, you can see he has it in his mouth in this pic.

 

One thing I wanted to bring up about the film %’s if you guys are trying to decide. The reason for the tint laws on dark film is to protect officers from having to walk up to vehicles and not being able to tell if there is a gun pointed at them on the other side of a dark window. So if you think you want something dark on the car but don’t want to get in trouble then if you ever get pulled over, especially at night, just turn your dome light on, put all the windows down you can and put your hands on the wheel where he can see there is only you in the car and he can see your hands. Then once he’s at the window and ask for your license and registration, THEN go digging around in the car while he can see you easy. If you do all that, the chances of getting a tint ticket are very slim because the officer didn’t feel threatened we he came up to the car. Even if you did get a ticket, from what I understand, it’s always a super cheap fine, no points against your record and it’s not a moving violation I don’t think. If you got a jerk of a cop then he might make you peal it off the driver window while he watches you, then your looking at about $35 to retint one window etc

 

i want to tint a fair amount, but not hide the strut bar which i think really adds to the beauty of the car .. would 35% be enough tint to make driving in the sun more comfortable and get the sexy look, but not hide the view of the strut bar from the outside

 

man i didnt know the le mans sunset looked so BRONZE. that's a good thing by the way. looks wicked. making me think twice about that silverstone.

 

I have that exact model on order for a Feb delivery and I wondered if you like the color on the seats? I have ordered same never seeing it and been told alot of different things like it is a warm color it has orange in it it doesnt have orange in it etc. Since you have one can you describe it to me. Not that I am going to change my mind I am sure I will love it in fact I went with touring over track just for those seats. Have heard people complaining of creasing already on the leather. Have you noticed that. Did you use a reflective tint? I would like a tint but don't want to hide strut bar in back as it is so cool looking. Have you had any stereo problems? That is my other concern as there have been alot of complaints on the Bose system. Have heard the stereo in track model and it is great. Hope I have made the right model choice! Can't wait to be driving!Oh yeh do you see any lines with the invisible bra? I saw one on a altima in a showroom and it was so noticeable.

 

I had the same issue when trying to decide on tint. Would it hide the strut bar? Answer for 20% it is visible when walking around the car. I don't think it will be as noticeable from a parked car behind the Z. Overall I am glad I got 20%. I have seen both 35% and 20%, the 35% is just not dark enough for my taste.

In your case 35% might be fine, have you ever tinted windows before? It might help you make a decision.

 

1)Love it!! It is orange - only way to describe it. A question you may ask is does it match the exterior color? Not exactly, however, depending on the light it does.

2)I have 600 miles and a few creases. One of the great things about leather is that it gets broken in, I would say don’t worry about it.

3)No reflective tint.

4)Stereo is fine, don’t know what all the complaining is about. The speakers sound awesome. I prefer more bass and will be removing the Bose sub soon. I have noticed that with the audio adjust volume feature the sound does fluctuate some and can be annoying.

5)I don’t have the bra but I have looked at some installations and would recommend if you buy it you get the kit that wraps around. That only leaves a line across the hood. I hope to see Karl’s finished car in a couple of weeks.

How were the black dots that surround the rear window, did they cause a white ring around that window and on the small side windows?

 

No, it looks great. I think CHris worked extra hard to make sure.
