Crazy Day at the Dealer
Well I woke up at about 12 this morning. My dad and I were going to go look at cars. First stop (Lapointe) Honda dealer. Looked at 2 s2ks waiting to be PDI. We decided that he didn't really like them that much. On to the nissan dealer (Independence) to see if there were any 350s waiting to be delievered that we could look at. We roll up and they say that there are no 350s on the lot. But there is one across the street at the porsche dealer. "Porsche dealer?" you may inquire as did I. To make a long story short the porsche dealer bought one for over msrp and and in turn selling it for over the price they paided for it. My dad and I happen to know one of the guys at the porsche dealership becuase he sold us our bmw when he worked at the bmw dealership. Anywase a really nice guy who doesn't shoot any BS. So we cruise on over the porsche dealer to check it out. We talk to our friend and not a minute into the conversation he goes. "Want to take it for a spin?" To make an ever longer story short we took a spirited test drive. Wow, what an incredible car. Not to mention everyone and their mother falling out of their cars to look at us. (BTW it was a CS Touring 6MT) So we get back and my dad considers buying that one right there but it didn't have sideairbags or nav and it was like 4-5 grand over sticker.
So my dad drives back over to the nissan dealership with all of there sales people in awe that we drove it after they told us there was no way they would let us drive it. So we go inside and start talking price. And all of a sudden they decide to mention that they are selling for 1grand over msrp. AcK!! They never said anything about this the previous 4 or 5 times myself or my dad or mom has talked to them. So needless to say we left pretty pissed off. I get home and call Superior Nissan on the phone and guess what? They are selling for MSRP.
Moral of the story? When you wake up on a saturday morning expecting to not see any 350zs you might just end up driving one.
Note: After the test drive my dad is almost obsessed as I am.
