Search. This topic has been discussed with detail very recently. You are going to get a fairly bias opinion however, seeing as we all chose the 350z. My personal reasoning was the rx-8's lack of torque and overall power in comparison to the Z. However, If you are not so concerned with the power and think you will have use for a backseat, as small as it may be, the RX-8 may be a good choice. Haven't heard many good things about the Renesis engine though and from what I hear there aen't many shops that work on them. Just something to think about.

 

basically you wont us to sit here and spoon feed you all you want to know. first off, do you really think you needed to post a new topic about this. like noone has thought to post a Z vs 8 topic. SEcond, this is a Z board. Obvisously were gonna be heavily biased. Thirdly, i cant believe i wasted this much time telling you to search. FOr the love of god. People with less than 25 posts shouldnt be allowed to start a new topic, cause their all the same. If its not Z vs 8, its which CAI is the best, or Z vs STI vs EVO vs SRT. Just friggin search.

There is no best choice. Choosing a car is an individual choice.

most Z owners are going to say pick the Z. as I am sure the majority of rx8 owners will say the 8.

Spend some time on this board and the Rx8 boards, test drive both cars and decide for yourself

one has a back seat and a rotory engine, one doesnt and has a V6. isnt that all there is to say really?

figure out your priorities and needs and this is a very simple question.

 

its easy, ones a 350Z and is a fun sportscar with awesome driving dynamics and a silky powerful V6... and the others some other car or a hamster or something..

just kidding RX8 fans hehe.... its all up to what you want in a car

RX-8 = family sedan.

They're much better than 350z's. You get four doors, back seat, efficient engine, manageble performance and KILLER looks! You can't go wrong...even Cyclops from Xmen has one.

 

rx8 has less gas mileage and less power. if it's not a commuter, the gas mileage issue is not really a big deal. the power issue depends on you. the rx8 is lighter. if you like the feel of a lighter car then that can be a factor. Z's weakness is the tire feathering problem. i'm not explaining it here since there are hundreds of threads about it (check the repairing forum).

Don't worry bout it. From what I've seen on these forums for the past year or so, this is faaar from a stupid question.

It's just been beat to a pulp and when you do a search you'll find that out. Some folks probably clicked on your thread thinking it might possibly be a real world track showdown between the two cars.

Well that's what I thought.
