No way in hell. Unless the Z is driven by the worlds worst driver. And Welcome to the board 350driver, and04Z.

golf r32

3409lbs

I'd say the Z will win.

I drove an R32 on tuesday, and I was quite impressed. The inside of the R32 is much nicer than the Z, but of course it doesn't perform as well. I'll be interested to see the R36 in 07.

Althought did you guys see the Motor Trend article where they added about $10,000 in mods to the R32 and was ripping out 4.0 second 0-60s and reaching like 190mph top speed?

And they said that it was a Stage I that they were testing. Stage III was closer to 500hp and twice as nuts for $15,000. Anyone read that same article? (Details fuzzy, I know)

Where did you hear that it is a 15 sec car? Another Z owner who thinks the Z is unbeatable You might want to rethink that number as stock .:R32's are running 13.8 to 14.0 in the 1/4. Show me a Z that can pull a 1.78 60ft on stock rubber.

Anytime you want to run let me know

You are probably thinking of the HPA Motorsports tuned .:R32. It has their stage II twin turbo kit and has just been recently retuned to 550+hp with a 0-60 in 3 sec and high 10's in the 1/4. Look for it in the super street car challenge. The best part is that the kit only costs around $37K

Well... I have two guys that I know who raced an R32 vs Type R civic. They were neck to neck from start all the way to 120 mph when the VW started pulling slowly.

I raced the same Type R and smoked him really bad from start!!

So, does that make it clear now

R32 can put up an okay fight from a dig but from a roll it is toast against a Z.

Ex-Audi owner here, still pretty active on the Audi/Vw scene and I can deff tell you a stock R32 will not break into the 13's low to mid 14's is still a maybe and thats a englishtown.

I highly doubt a stock R32 can run those times, unless you're running the car at 10000 feet above sea level

I drove a GTI-VR6 for 8 years before buying my Z a few months back. Though I love the R32's power delivery, even with forced induction it couldn't do power-on oversteer like the Z.

awd plus turbo right? of course its cheap to get tons of HP. but its heavier than most others; it might keep up in the quarter, not to belittle that acomplishment, but it will be toasted in the twisties at that weight.
