Excuse the newbie question: I see a lot of posts just saying "bump." What does that mean?

or in Lamens (or however you spell the damn word lol) terms: You post a thread which Nobody replies to. Eventually your thread moves to the bottom of the page where people dont usually look (For example, when I go into a forum, I usually only scroll down half to 3/4's a page),...You reply to your thread with "ttt" or "bump", taking it back to the top of the page so more people will notice and read it.

layman's terms

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=layman%27s

A layman is a man who is a nonprofessional, thus you say it in simpler terms so that the can understand it.

Oops! I'm so sorry... "I'd just let you know (privately).." was meant to be a PM, not a post! I'm feeling a bit under the weather, brain isn't quite clear, my apologies for the public correction.

I also love it when someone posts a lame thread, and someone has to jump in and say 'In befo tha lock!' like they're cool for getting in before teh mods move it or something.
