I've set up a Z-Run for this Saturday (7/24)
On this past Sunday I took Peptidbond on the planned route and this is what he had to say:

THIS RIDE WILL BE AWESOME!

Once we leave the meeting place, we will immediately hit two-lane roads that rise and fall, twist and turn. It is a lot of fun. We will go over large hills that get you in the stomach and fly around turns that will push you in your seat. It is really a blast.

For those coming from out of town, we hope you can stay the entire time. However, if you can only do the run down and not back, I do have directions back to the nearest highway. While we would want you to stay the entire time, there are places where you can bail early and head home. Essentially, the run route mirrors I-77 the entire time. A short trip to the east will put you right back on a major highway that connects to I-70 in the south and I-80 and I-90 in the north.

I will be there of course and I AM BRINGING CAMERA EQUIPMENT! I will have my high-end digital camera and a rented digitl video camera.

As for other car owners, I think we would be more than willing to accept any 2XXZ, 300Z, or 300ZX.

DIRECTIONS TO MEETING LOCATION FROM Cleveland or the northwest or northeast locations:
1. From I-80 or I-90, take I-77 south
2. Exit from I-77 onto state route 21 south (four lane highway)
3. Continue on st. rt. 21 south past I-76
4. st. rt. 21 has regular roads that cross it. There are no proper entrances and exits. Look for Clinton Rd. after you pass I-76.
5. Turn left on to Clinton Road (heading east).
6. When Clinton Rd dead-ends, turn right. Just a few hundred feet later is a "Y" in the road and some train tracks. Turn left and go over the train tracks. The meeting location is about another 200 feet on the left and is well marked.

DIRECTIONS FROM COLUMBUS or locations southwest:
1. Head north on I-71
2. Exit heading east on I-76.
3. Exit on state route 21 heading south
4. st. rt. 21 has regular roads that cross it. There are no proper entrances and exits. Look for Clinton Rd. after you pass I-76.
5. Turn left on to Clinton Road (heading east).
6. When Clinton Rd dead-ends, turn right. Just a few hundred feet later is a "Y" in the road and some train tracks. Turn left and go over the train tracks. The meeting location is about another 200 feet on the left and is well marked.

1. Head north on I-77
2. Just south of Canton, take US 30 heading west.
3. When you reach state route 21, take it heading north

5. Turn right on to Clinton Road (heading east).
6. When Clinton Rd dead-ends, turn right. Just a few hundred feet later is a "Y" in the road and some train tracks. Turn left and go over the train tracks. The meeting location is about another 200 feet on the left and is well marked.

Hey y'all, if you are anywhere near NE Ohio or Central Ohio (I am talking within 2 hours), you should come. This drive is freakin awesome. Buff and I drove it on Saturday. Aside from the twists and turns, hill climbs and descents, there is nothing better than dodging Amish buggies at 80mph. Seriously, the horses get pretty freaked out j/k. Really, you should come though.

 

Something came up & I won't be able to make it. I'm pretty disappointed. Hope you guys have fun. Let me know or post another thread when you guys do this again, I'll definately be in.

Sheet, I'm going to the tribe game or I would be there for sure. Plan the next one a month or so in advance so I can mark my calendar! Plus I need Pepti to install my stereo

Get some Zaino on there this evening Buff...gotta look good.

Unfortunately there will be no Zaino going on before the run, it would be a waste of time due to the large quantities of "buggy exhaust" that tends to accumulate along the run path. Sunday on the other hand "Baby" will get the full treatment.

One day I'm gonna have to actually calculate how many coats of Zaino I have on, but that won't happen until I have LOTS of excess time on my hands
