Nismo Bodykit owners. Please read!
As SKiDaZZLe once pointed out, there are very few members who have the real nismo kits. I was wondering if you nismo owners, real and replica, would provide me with some information.
Whoever owns a Nismo kit, could you please reply saying if yours in real or replica, and then please tell me how the fitment was, quality, price, and who you ordered from.
I love the simplicity of the nismo kit and would like to get the real nismo, but would like to see if it's actually justifiable to spend the extra money. If there is a very noticable quality/fitment issue and such.
Thanks a lot guys..
PS - If any of you own a super black Z with nismo kit which is lowered (Any springs or suspension) , please post a picture. Thanks again.

One of the first REAL NISMO kits. I think Skidazzle was first and I wasn't far behind. The fitment is perfect. No issues whatsoever.
I ordered from Graham Ware who works for Japan Parts on this site. THe kit cost a fortune considering I had to have it shipped from Japan and had to pay duty and taxes etc.
The price you pay for impatience!

When I ordered mine (Dec. 02) I got the rear wing, two side skirts and two small rear skirts (didn't get the front bumper) and it still cost me about $1500. Then it was about $400 for shipping, $90 duty, and some tax. THEN painting and install were another $500. Other than the Procharger, this was my most expensive mod by far.

I also had my real Nismo full kit early... if I remember correctly, it cost me $2300 shipped from Gruppe-S.
Fitment was fantastic. Only place we had any issues was with the rear skirts (behind rear wheels) where the kit line does not run flush perfectly with the body line. This is a very minor variation. So not noticeable that I have not even attempted to correct it and almost no one has noticed it unless I point it out. Rest of the kit fit as if it came from the factory that way!
Others have said it... you get what you pay for! If you go with a cheaper kit, your install/paint is probably going to run more as they try to get it on your car.
Note to Jason@Performance: No offense to you guys... I've bought from Performance several times myself... but I'm not sure how objective your input can be on this question since you sell the products you are commenting on. Just my $.02

I just paid $1600 to get a Nismo replica body kit w/ spoiler painted and installed. Was wondering the average price to do this kind of work? Did I pay too much? By the way, this body shop is a close friend of my father. The body shop told me that they will not cut any corners with my Z and that paint is going to match %100. I don't think it's alot to paint a 6 piece kit but I have been reading that many people paid alot less to get this kit painted and installed? Comments? Thanks

Does that $1600 include the kit or just for painting and installing? If it is the latter, I think you got jobbed!
To paint and install mine (and this included painting the strut bar under the hood and the engine and battery covers (the first time, before I had Rob do it with the lettering painted), was about $400.

Just for painting and installation. Other places I gt quoted was around 1000-1300 but I figure a few more hundred wont hurt for 100% guarenteed fitment and paint match. Somebody mentioned b4 that they were charged $600 something to paint the spoiler. They charged me 350 for refrence. But for some reason I didnt understand how come they charged me $550 at first to paint the front bumper. I got it knocked down to $450. They said the the $450 includes painting and prep of the front bumper / fill-in of the emblem indentation/ blending of the fenders annd the hood if they needed to. Which I know they will need to because my Z is chrome silver. Guys with body kits, does this sound right? Thanks
