Other than blurred vision from staring at a monitor, possible termination due to excessive internet usage at work, and no sleep since 192 B.Z. (192 days before the Z) my life hasn't changed a bit. I'm totally calm about it. Really.
Well, have to run...working on the 12' barbed wire fence around my parking spot in front of my apartment.

Gosh... this is already the 3rd time I am on the board today...
I'll probably be on a total of 10 times at 10 mins minimum each.
But I can't help it!

I have never been so glad to find out that my reactions are normal!
My job is really slow right now so I check this site ALL day long. My coworkers think I am cracked. I have three pictures of the Z on my computer background. The walls of my cube are filled with pictures from the Detroit show and ALL the correspondence I have received so far from Nissan and the dealership (all covered in plastic to protect them).
I went through withdrawl this weekend because I was out of town racing and couldn't 'stop in' work to check the web! I dream about racing the Z on whatever course I last ran and can 'feel' how the car handles in my mind. I've started to figure out ways to cut back on living expenses so that I can put more money towards upgrades for the car.
I have alienated my family as I afraid to tell them that I have started racing and I bought two new cars. Most of my current friends don't 'get' it. Although, my friendship circle has increased since the racing season started. That has helped. One of them told me that I may not have a boyfriend now, but once I got the Z I would have plenty trying. I replied that if I was in the Z, they would have to catch me first!!!LOL

Its the passion. Either you have it or you don't. Its nothing you can explain or nothing you can fake, if you have it, you just know you do. Most of my friends think i'm off my rocker for buying every car magazine I can every month and spending insane amounts of time on car info sites and forums like this one. They also don't know why I watch my copy of MR2DIE4 several times a week, and why I paid $35 for it when you can only get it on VHS. They look at me funny when I would rather be in outside in the middle of December on a Saturday night at a Starbucks parking lot in Irving just to look at peoples cars and talk to other enthusiasts. They don't understand why I watch drifting videos imported from Japan, that aren't even in English, they don't know that I don't care if I don't understand all the words. They get mad when I interrupt a conversation when on the road to point out every single nice car that we pass/passes us. My friends try to understand it, most of them just don't. Its habits like that that are signs of the passion. How did it start for me, its always been this way for me. My grandpa had a Toyota dealership when I was growing up, and I used to get to ride around in Supras and MR2s with dealers when I was a little kid. I was in love at first sight. I was the kid who had Japanese car RC cars. I was the kid who would have rather talked about the newest Supra than watch the Super Bowl. And i've only got more import car crazy as the years have gone by.

Luckily, most of my friends are car nuts too. I've heard a lot of comments from them to the tune of not liking the looks of the Z, shoulda bought a BMW, Nissan sucks, etc.
But, when I pull up, windows down, radio pumping, the line to get a ride is going to be long, 'cause I can only take one at a time.

It introduced me to this forum. This forum is leaps and bounds better than that of almost any other car. The crowd that surfs this forum is just my type. Have you seen the civic or mustang forums? Or the BMW forums? I used to have a VW and this forum was better than that too even though vwvortex is a very good forum.
I feel good in my car everywhere I go. Having the 350Z also made me appreciate other cars. Sometimes its good to not have attention. I'm used to getting compliments...
