Question How has the Z affected your life?

For me... I now surf this forum whenever I can. At work, at home, etc...

I am consumed with the Z in my mind. My productivity has gone down at work...

I too have stayed up til 2am looking at pics and drooling...

How has the Z affected you?

LMAO!

Well, I'm on this site almost as often as I am with Club3G (www.eclipseforums.org / www.neweclipse.org) and seriously contemplating putting down the $1k deposit for either an Enthusiast 6MT or Track 6MT 350Z. Trading-in my Eclipse and don't care how up-side-down (negative equity) I'll be.

All this because Nissan decided to put out a car such as this.

A dream car. Or at least, close to it.

You two broke up over a car? It's probably good that the relationship ended then.

As for myself, I have noticed that I'm on this board way way too much. As I walk around at work, I have to stop myself from telling people that I'm buying a Z. Keep in mind, these are people who would have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.

One other thing, is that my financial situation will deteriorate until the thing is actually delivered. I've got to save money for parts!

Jill, sorry to hear about that.

Even more sorry to hear your xbf drives a '02 Eclipse.

I drive the 5MT V6 one. It's a good car, good torque , but other than an exceptionally good daily driver, it comes short of doing some things I want it to do. Being unbalanced, wrong wheel drive, quite heavy, et. al..

Its taken over my life, I'm at this and the freshalloy site all day, everyday at work I probably check the site every 15-20 minutes.

Times I at the above mentioned sites.

1. first thing when I get up.
2. All the time at work.
3. During lunch
4. first thing when I get back from work.
5. last thing before going to bed.

I've reading up on each of the mentioned features, tires, VDC etc etc and how they work ...

Thought I was the only one going nuts but seem to me like everyone been pretty much going through the same ...

Things will hopefully return to normal after, the delivery

Well, a lot of men are intimidated by successful women.

Like you said, at least you're getting a Z.

I told my girlfriend that I'm breaking up with her as soon i get the car because of all the girls who will want me because of the car. Just kidding. Hum, maybe not Well, I did tell her that. She thinks I was joking, which of course I was

Seriously, everyone I know or come in contact with knows I have ordered this car, friends, family, coworkers, customers.... I find myself daydreaming about the car constantly and checking the site way too often.

No woman can intimidate me.

Ditto on getting the Z.

Yes Zgirl... He's a loser!

My girlfriend tells me I'm way too into the car. I think she's jealous!

Also, when I told her that I wanted to get together a local Z car club and do get-togethers and drives, she told me that's the "gayest thing she ever heard of..." The things this car is doing to me!!!

LOL!

Yea she knows... She doesn't care much for that since she doesn't like her picture on the web, and so she wouldn't want me to put a pic of me and her on there.

Also, the pic on the avatar I currently have is just a temporary one, and it's a pic with a **** star. She's not jealous of that.

Kinda like when I go to the movies with her and she sees Brad Pitt or some other hunky movie star and says how good looking they are or something. I am not jealous.

Although she kinda got irritated when I was DROOLING over Kelly Hu when we were watching the Scorpion King. Now that is one FINE lady!

Well lets see, I bought a PS2, GT3, steering wheel and a game shark just for the 350Z!. Everytime we come home, its straight to the computer to check if there is any new news, and I am constantly thinking about the delivery of my new car and what route to take on the 500 mile drive home from north carolina. As I posted before, we may be buying this new, much bigger house, if our current one sells, and that means one less car. I told my wife I would delay the Z, but she insists on getting rid of her 4 month old Lexus instead, becuase she knows how much I am looking forward to this one.

I find myself daydreaming while driving around town about how the drive will be with me behind the wheel of a new Z.

Unfortunately, sometimes my daydreaming becomes reality and I start to drive my Accord like it has the performance capabilities a Z does. Then I wake up and let off the pedal a little.

That and this is the 6th time I've checked in on this board today..

First ... ZGirl81 ... good move out of there ... sounds like you were going to "fly" eventually anyway ... keep your standards high!

As far as how my "Z" has affected my life ... this is the first time in many, many years where I have something to look forward to in the future. I may be 57, but I find myself acting like 'Rouxeny' and the rest of you 20-somethings ... keeping quiet to co-workers about "my new car" is next to impossible ... the screensaver on my work PC is a series of "Z" photos ... my refrigerator door has photos of my "Z" next to my grand-daughters ... driving my Pathfinder like a sportscar ... Hell, I even carry my NNA confirmation letter in my briefcase!

The best part (listen up ZGirl) is that my wife is fully supportive! She told me that I have worked hard all my life, got both my sons grown, and I deserve something for myself for a change. So we are planning several trips around the Mid-South in our new "Z" starting Labor Day!
